I am new here, but would like to make an observation. I have a son and a daughter - twins. They are very differet. The daughter grew up rather quickly into a mature adult. The son is still having difficulty years later.

At your age, many young men may not be able to see the qualities you possess. Be who you are. Do not try to be funny and immature just to fit in with some guy looking for the quick kill. Develop our own interest, our own hobbies, and pursue them. Make yourself approachable. Do not always be in the company with other women. Read.

As you age and mature, the playing field will change.

I have been married for quite awhile, so I doubt I know what i am talking about, but I would think finding a good companion is also largely about location. By location I mean the places you hang out, and the activities you do. I don't really believe clubs and other type of meat markets really work out, but rather social gathering such as church, theater, or other social type activities that are of interest to you.

What are your hobbies? If you don't have any, then get some. You have invested the time and money to get your body where it needs to be, now start having fun with it. I have been accused of having to many hobbies, but several of them would be great methods of meeting people.

Scuba Diving

Flying

I play saxophone in a blues band

Golf

Horses. (Boy I meet lots of good people in the horse world.)

Photography

Every single one of these hobbies give me the opportunity to interact with people. You never know what man / woman / couple you meet might have a good friend that is also looking for a companion.

Its funny. now that i have lost a lot of weight i have had gals talk to me that would not even give me the time of day. I dont want some one that only talks to me because of what i look like i want someone that actually cares who i am and what I am about.

If I can offer my .02...

Although the breast/butt comment was a bit direct, I think we can all agree that most men, and most people, look at the cover before they read the book.

As superficial as it sounds, looks play a huge role into both sides getting together.

BTW, you are a good looking chick and you won't be single for long!

There must be something wrong with the men in Tenn. I think you look great. Don't settle for less than your ideal man.

Seeing that she hasn't been active on the forum in about a month, maybe she found a good man in TN.

My husband was from TN, they aren't all bad

You know I was thinking the same thing. I myself and a big big boob man. I can say that they make me happy. That being said. I am sure women are going to think what an A-hole etc... but How many of these same women want a man with a millimeter peter. Ok kinda ranted off there for a min.

If I were single and drunk I'd ask you to dance. (drunk b/c I'm extremely shy if I don't know you)

Hey everyone. I do appreciate all your advice and comments. I am dating a little more now. I joined match.com and that makes a huge difference. I figured it would be weird, but so far its been an interesting experience. As far as my physical appearance goes, I'm still working on it. I had PS to remove excess skin around my abdomen along with a butt/thigh lift. And I must say that my butt looks damn good now in a pair of fitted jeans. I am so much happier with myself and working on the confidence issues. And, just in case anyone was wondering, I had the PS for me and no one else.

Good to hear that online dating can work. This pic is before surgery on the left and after surgery (about 2-3 weeks after). I don't have any recent pics. I am 3months post op and most of the swelling is gone now.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
