Not band related but need help!

Recommended Posts

I am in East Mesa and I am trying to get rid of my dad's stuff. We are having a moving sale and have had good luck getting rid of the junk but not the furniture. I listed the dining room china cabinet and table on

Craig's list, and have a bedroom set too.

I need to get back to Oregon next week. Does anyone know about consignment shops or anything? My dad is 89 and can't deal with this and I need to get back home. I need the house empty to get carpeting installed and get it on the market.

Any advice is appreciated!

Different consignment shops operate differently. Most charge a percentage of the sale price, but some can be as high as 50% or more. You might b able to look in the phone book and call around. You could also try used furniture stores.

If you have talked to a realtor, ask about including the furniture with the house. Another option would be to keep it in the house until either the house sold or you make other arrangements for it. A house generally shows better with some furniture, especially a few nice pieces. Buyers can get an idea of what it will look like with your own there.

If all else fails you may be able to donate it and get a deduction on your taxes.

I have also seen furniture on ebay.

Hope this helps

There are a few of them around. Terrie's Consign and Design is a popular choice. I'm not sure what their fees are but I do know that they come to your house for you. HTH!!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
