I am so upset. I switched over to mushies 2 days ago and have managed to gain 3lbs. I was so excited at the progress I was making, I feel as though I have failed. :P I can't get in for my first fill until July 11. Reading through here I am going to try to make some adjustments of my Protein intake. I can't bear to drink another Protein Shake though - they make me nauseated just thinking about it. <sigh> Sorry for venting everyone...

I haven't had a Protein shake since I started on mushies...I couldn't stand them and I don't think I need them! I've been able to consume 60-70g of Protein a day since I started the mushie stage.

When i started the mushie stage I fluxuated a couple of pounds for a few days and then dropped back down to my original weight. I also realized that I wasn't going to the bathroom...which is common in the mushie stage.

I know it's frustrating and I'm only 5 weeks out but my Dr. recommended dropping to 800 calories a day for several weeks to see if I could both challenge myself and make my body work harder. I've also started swimming a bit. I know that I haven't exercised to the extent that I should but swimming in the privacy of my own yard is "safer" for me. Have you thought of dropping your caloric intake a bit? My weakness is bread so I stopped having it in the house, I know longer look at Pasta and there is only brown rice in the house right now. I know that it's difficult but you have to make yourself hate that food...fight against it. I'm struggling now to get things moving but I figure at this point I'm training myself. I'm one of those people that needs to cut themselves off totally from the bad things as once I start I won't be able to stop.

Don't feel bad.....I too got banded on April 21st and have not lost a whole lot of weight, even tho all my friends say they can see it I can't. I have lost 12 lbs after surgery and have been struggling with keeping that off. Yes, I've cheated a few times and had to pay for it with working hard to get it back off.

I Have a 8cc band and had my first fill on June10th and my dr only put in 1cc. I go back on July 11th for another 1cc......I too am not feeling much restriction like I'd like. My problem is portions, I have always been a big eater and I wanted this tool to help me control my portions, it's not so much what I eat, it's the portions. :)

I'm now thinking about joining a gym, as the walking isn't doing much for me anymore. Plus I'm not walking as far as I use to. I need to drag out the bike from hanging in the garage also and try doing some bike riding.....I need to get the excercise going more.

Everybody keeps telling me to hang in there and the band will start working once I get to my sweet spot, which could be a little while yet...maybe a couple more fills later.

I tried to hold back all day but I couldn't. I made better choices than I used to (some cottage cheese instead of chips or cookies) but within an hour I was hungry again. Today I choked down a Protein Shake, 1 make shift taco, another an hour and a half later, a Protein Bar and some cottage cheese. I've been drinking alot of Water but all that has done is make p all day long. I'm failing and fustrated.:frown::hurray::smile:

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
