just home. surgery went well, first for this dr. and for this surgical center. Very awsome. I was only patient all day and night. first rate care. not much pain, just gas. cant have anything chewable and I bought gas x chew tabs. hubby at store looking for liquid and getting rx filled. liquid lortab. Did lortab keep anyone else awake?

Other than gas feel good. first time ever felt swallowing and into stomach. wierd feeling.

liquids for another week, and then appt. on Tues to see if loving to thicker liquids.

Good luck upcoming bandsters. hope your banding happens as well as mine. Thanks for all the advice.

Take me off the May list. Had to cancel d/t ins problems We are summiting for preauthorization First the said we did not have to. Today I was Informed we Dh and myself did not meet the criteria for just covering it. When they say 12 consecutive months they mean the past 12 months. from today backward. With documented proof weighing in at the Dr office on a diet don't count if you were not on a RX for weight loss for the last 12 months. Same with WWetc. what you did in 2001 or 2002 don't count. Soooooo. They said summit it again for peauthorization suggested trying an RX in the mean time. Will take 2-4 months, to get a decision

Yipee - I'm scheduled for May 26th. Of course I just had my initial consult. Now I have to meet with the dietician and my pcp on Friday. Get an EKG, meet with surgeon and get psych eval on Monday. Oops, then remember to go to Ecuador for vacation on Tuesday. And I'm out of town right now.

I love a busy life. And busy I will be when my feet don't kill me anymore, clothes are more comfortable....

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
