Anyone use them or going to use them? I love Dr Bunch & his assistant Kris. I would love to know if you went to them, how did it go? Any info you can give me would be great. My date is 4/11/08 so its getting close!

Hi Lynne, I am so sorry you haven't recceived any responses. I am from Jacksonville, so I am unable to answer your question.

I see that you were scheduled to be banded yesterday. How did everything go?

Hi,

I live out of the country and will be banded in Italy in June. I visit Florida to see my children several times a year. Do you think your doctor will do fills on people living out of the country? I have no one on the island where I live to do this part of the program.

Thanks

I have no idea if they would do fills on someone who lives out of the country. You would have to call them and find out. Sorry...and good luck!!

Thanks for the reply. I will call them on Monday, and also asked my doctor in Italy to call. I think they may have trained with him. If so, maybe they will be more open to taking me on. Do you know how much they charge for a fill and do they do the fluroscopy each time as well.

Thanks for you help,

Island Girl

Hey sorry I havent been online in a few days. Everything went SUPER! I am 9 days post op now & feeling pretty good except for some lung pain & a swollen baseball sized port. I just love the whole Bunch/Erbella crew too!

Scary....why the baseball size lump at the port site? Can you sleep at night or does it keep you awake?

I wondered what your energy level is like. I'm having my banding done next month in Italy while I attend a conference. I'm hoping that I feel good enough to attend all my sessions. Are you really hungry or weak?

Thanks and keep up the good work,

Islandgirl

Islandgirl:

I don't know how much they charge for a fill because my insurance covers them. They charge my ins $180 per fill but it may be different for paying customers. They do the fill in office - no fluoroscopy. If the port is hard to locate they use an ultrasound to mark the spot.

FYI - I had the surgery on a Wed and was back to work the following Monday. :wink2:

My port was swollen because for some reason I had alot of internal bruising. Just they way my body reacted I guess. I was tired the first 3 days but not really weak. I was hurting pretty bad (general soreness) the first 4 days, but you may be different. Good Luck!!

Hi! Just wondering if anyone had any experience with the doctors in Sarasota? I'm south of Sarasota and am looking for the best doctor who is closest to me. It is good to hear about Bradenton, but am hoping on feedback on others as well. Please let me know! :wink2: Thanks a bunch!

I had Dr. Erbella and Dr. Bunch. My surgery was 7/2. I was very pleased with them and the whole procedure. I live in Bradenton. How are you doing. Have you had adjustments yet? I get my first in 2 weeks.

Hi,

Congrats on getting through surgery. I had my surgery in Italy in June.

Do you have a separate email account? You can email me any questions as jbaumberger@gmail.com

I hope you are doing well with the device and sticking to your soft foods.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
