I was banded on 27Feb08 and my first fill is on 28Mar08 and I am hungry! I try not to eat alot but I fail most of the time and the pain I have afterward is not worth it. I know that I will hurt later but I still eat. Anyone that have some helpful hints please let me know.:scared2::frown:

i was banded 2-28-08 and will have my first fill 4-1-08. my surgeon's office said they are not concerned with weight loss the first month. this is kind of a learning experience, like learning how to eat, how much to eat, etc.

now that i have said that, i have been starving for the last 3 days! when i get hungry, i eat, but i eat healthy food and i think that is the difference....i'm no longer head to the junk foods for a snack.< /p>

hang in there....it will get better.

I,too, am hungryyyyyy! Up until 3 nights ago I was on track with the Postop diet. I gave in and had 3 scoops of icecream and this morning, Easter, I had one slice of bacon, 2 scr eggs, and a very small pancake w/syrup. I go into see the doctor on March 26th and I hope I get a fill. Up to now I have been soooo good but I am running out of will power.

What has helped me when I know I was full but if food was still in front of me and I would be tempted to eat because it was there, was to put a bunch of stuff on it i.e salt pepper so the food would be too terrible to eat. I would feel bad sometimes because I was wasting food but I would rather do that than to regret eating all of it.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
