Spring Into Action Weight Loss Challenge

Wanna, Ok I feel so bad. I don't deserve your comments.. I decided to have a night off and watch cartoons and eat junk with my oldest son. We are eating a pint of Ben and Jerry's Ice cream as I type this. I only bought a pint, because this is a planned splurge, but if I bought a half gallon then I would eat at it all week. So, I am back on plan tommorow as well. I didn't get to go to the gym today. 2 of my kids have the flu.

Well Renewed, I haven't been doing so well. I've been on vacation for the past week and I've gained 2 lbs. I was actually expecting it to be more. I have lost my restriction. I thought I was at my sweet spot from the last fill and now I hardly have any. My next appt isn't until April 24th, grrrr! I really need a fill. The good news is, I have almost saved up enough money to join the YMCA. When my hubby gets paid on Friday, I am going to go join. I'm excited about that! Maybe I will have a better update next time, lol!

You should be very proud of only a 2 pound weight gain on vacation. Don't be hard on yourself!! Cool on the YMCA. You will really enjoy that!! My cousin is a personal trainer, so I get a REALLY good deal on training. I just started this week.

Hey ladies. I haven't been doing to well either. I found out 2 things:

that I am severely deficient in D, B1, B6, B12, and Iron. Pretty much my body was malnourished and freaking out. I was pale, weak, having weird pains, severe fatigue, brittle hair and dry, dry ,dry skin. I'm now taking so many pills its crazy, but I do feel better.

And that my home scale is 3.5lbs off. So I actually weight almost 4lbs more than I thought. But I I round down:tongue:.

To be honest this all threw me for a loop. So much so, I ate my way through my recovery week. BUT, Last week I returned to my exercise and better eating. I did so well I lost 10lbs! 6 of which, I gained in a week! I guess I needed those Vitamins. I'm starting to think these deficiencies were what was slowing my weight loss.

Sorry for the long story

Anywho....I am adjusting my stats for my actual weight. All in all I am down 4lbs! :)

I'm bored with my workout routine. I know I need to shake it up. I'm thinking about joining a gym instead of using the one at work. That way I can do spinning and kickboxing classes. I have access to fantastic cardio/machines/free weights at work, but no classes. I've been doing the work gym regularly since October of 06.

Anyway, that's where my thougths are at the moment.

WTG Jennypoo!!! TOM has come to visit me, so I was up and now back down to what my ticker says. I keep forgetting, however, to post my activity. Yesterday I worked out witht the trainer for 30 minutes, did a 1hr kickboxing class and road my stationary bike for 25 minutes. I have signed up to run a 5k in May!!! Yes, I am nuts, but no doubt I will be at the gym getting ready.

Hope to update with some weight loss soon.

They have a Susan G Koman Race for The Cure 5k about an hour from here next month on the 10th. That is not long, but my mom is a breast cancer survivor and I thought it would be a great way to honor her and Celebrate my new choices that will decrease my risk of ever having to go through what she did with cancer.

Ok, that was pretty sappy, but true. I am really looking forward to training for and being successful in this race.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
