Anyone else a closet Weight Watcher?????

Recommended Posts

Anyone else going???..... I haven't told anyone in the group I am banded yet.

I lost 70 gain 20 with the band, then lost 15 of the 20 regained and now I'm down 19 with weight watchers.

I never really learned how to make good food choices with the band alone.

I'm 15 pounds to my first goal and I'm chugging along?

I'm rethinking my aggressive goal of 155

Anyone else in the same boat??

I have been thinking about joining something. They do weight watchers at my school. I have thought about it. I want to get proper restriction first.

I am a Weight Watcher too! I had the same issue of not making the best food choices with the band despite the fact that I meet regularly with a nutritionist. It's so easy to pick calorie dense foods that seem to go through the band easier. I also really like the weekly weigh-ins I feel like they keep me honest!

Thanks for replying....I thought I was the only crazy girl that's doubling up on the support. How long have you been with WW after the band????

I love the trinkets and the milestones from WW. I love the challenge of keeping track and the leader for this meeting is very entertaining.

Hubby and I are doing WW together (he is not banded) and together we have lost 50 lbs in 9 weeks. Me 20

The learning to make better choices is the ticket, I never had. shakes and high carbs slide right down that band.

If they could have invented something to make me hate chocolate, I would be better off.

Eat the chocolate with the fake sweetener that doubles as a laxative. Eat a lot.. and then get sick from it.. hehehe.

You're doing great, 20lbs in 9 weeks is nothing to shake a stick at, especially when you're so close to goal.

Hi Debbydo, I joined WW 2 weeks ago. The first week I lost .7 lbs. I think this week I lost 2 lbs. I weigh in tomorrow. I am 30 lbs from goal of 185. I can have plastic surgery at 205 so that puts me 10 lbs from plastic surgery. My high is 320 and I am currently 215. WW is the easiest way to track. Good luck.

Debbydo

I am 2 1/2 years out and have put a few pounds back on after having some problems, am presently unfilled. I joined Weight Watchers 2 weeks ago and finally felt a little in control.

The thing I love is the choices, I was getting to be really hard on myself, trying to eat only Protein, sort of an Atkins deal, got too bored and would blow it all out. I can hope that when I can get a fill I will follow through with the healthy choices that I am trying to incorporate now.I haven't told anyone in the group that I have the band but then again I have only told 4 people up to now.

I love the weight and points tracker that comes with the on-line tools- can always find what I am looking for.

I joined WW a long time ago and the WW leader noticed me down 65 more lbs. I told her I had Bariatric surgery but didn't tell her I had lapband. I am 30 lbs from goal and 10 lbs from plastic surgery. I ,may talk to her tomorrow and let her know my goals. She is great and I am sure she will understand. I want to make lifetime because I do believe in the all around principles.

Julie you are a brave soul.... How did the leader take it.

I am doing the flex plan. I need to limit my portions until I can get a fill. I love it because I really does push healthy eating.

I went down 3.5 the first week and weigh in on Saturdays.

Hoping for another 1.5 this week.

I became a lifetime member of WW 27 years ago. It was the only thing that ever worked for me. I lost my weight from pregnancies with their help. Unfortunately when I found out my daughter had autism 18 years ago I never could get back in control. I was banded Feb 8th and did well until a week ago. I guess the swelling went down. I get a fill on Monday and hope that gets me back on track. I have also decided to go back to WW again. It is the best program, being both healthy and flexible. Portion Control is everything and that is their main focus. I'm glad I will not be the only one. It could be that half the members have been banded and we just don't know it. Anyway, next week I get my first fill and start once more to WW. This time I think it will work with the help of my band.

Weight Watchers is a great plan. I made a mistake letting the leader know I was banded. Got the cold shoulder at the scales. Consider going anonymous. I wish I had.

I use the point system and track. I only do 20 points a day which is 1k calories plus the bonus points. Most of my extra points are spent on alcohol since it is so high in calories. I lost 4 lbs this week and .7 last week. I am 8 lbs away from plastic surgery. My leader is wonderful. I did also tell her I had Bariatric surgery because she notice I had lost weight in between being a member. I haven't told her its lapband yet.

I'm following the CORE plan, which works perfectly for what I love to eat, and it makes more sense to me nutritionally. A few years back I lost 56 lbs. in 5 months following the Core plan, and so I know it works for me and my body. Can't wait to see results soon. Had my 2nd fill today, following Core and working out 6 days per week. I should start seeing good results very soon!

I'd lost 10lbs since I was last there in October, and I didn't tell them crap about my surgery. LOL

I just took my congrats and sat down.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
