I Want to CHEAT and Think I Will

Recommended Posts

I had a rant I was gonna post about how you shouldn't do it Tom... Then I found your post about waking up, feeling better, and Being 3 lbs lighter.

Congrats on the 3lbs you lost! I have one more appt on 4/2 then I wait to hear from the insurance and then start my liquid diet... I am making it a positive thing. I want to be able to jump start the loss before the band... that gives you motivation going into the surgery. Each time you're tempted just think of how bad you wanted the band and what great benefits this new found life will give you.

Hey--I'm right there with you! I started mine yesterday and you've made it longer than I did with wanting to cheat! I think I'm gonna have to start have a few noodles in my chicken broth because I just need a little substance! It's not so much the idea that I'm starving or craving--it's just that I WANT something other than liquid and jello!!!! I don't even know if I'm supposed to have Campbell's chicken noodle Soup broth because it's not truly just broth--but I hate just regular ol broth---but i figure it's better than burgers and fries--at least as far as the surgeon will be concerned. I'm waiting for my doctor's office to open so I can call them to ask. Anyway--write me any time if you're sufferin'--I'll suffer with you! When is your surgery? Mine is Thursday, the 20th!

hi tom- just a suggestion here... if you get the steak- just chew it and spit it out. it gets your craving taken care of without actually eating it. just an idea!

Thanks for the reply - I get my band on Tuesday 3/18 - can't wait - still holding strong with the liquid diet - but want real food so bad - try tomatoe Soup - its allowed with my doc - and it does help. will look for you in the post op forums! Best to you.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
