But I have some heavier days and some lighter days. If I weigh once a week only, what if I weigh on the heavy day?

I need to know where I'm at more often than that. LOL

I've reached a plateau too. Been stuck at 17lbs since last week. This is week 3 for me so it's reassuring to know it's common.

My weight loss is since the day I was banded.

I didn't have to do a pre op diet so I was the same weight as always (well, actually I was a my heaviest) when I went for surgery.

My 5 year old is very concerned that I won't be getting an easter egg. Think I'll buy a cream egg as a treat and let himself eat most of it!

All this talk about Cadbury eggs....*drools on keyboard*

Some of my best memories of childhood revolve around Cadbury eggs. How sick is that?

I did buy candy I hate for my students this year. I bought gummie eggs and bunnies. I HATE Gummy CANDY. It makes me gag. Of course, that didn't stop me from eating some this morning, even though I envisioned a big, gag-nasty, rubbery bunnie stuck in my stoma. How could I explain THAT to my surgeon?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
