March Bandsters & Myspace?

Recommended Posts

Just curious if any of you March bandsters have myspace pages? A friend of mine suggested I chronicle my lapband journey in some form or fashion and I figured I'd create a myspace page to do just that.

I'd love to add friends to my new lapband myspace page - I plan on adding pictures of my progress and blogging the journey and what not. :biggrin2:

If you're interested, feel free to add me: MySpace.com - www.myspace.com/350139201_

I don't use myspace but I know people here do. There have also been some threads on the topic. Try searching for myspace and see what hits you get - you'll probably see a handful of threads and/or others' links.

I appreciate your response and I would have done a search but I'm looking for mainly March bandsters, though. Not just anyone here at LB Talk. The reason being is that I am a bit more familiar with them than the others. :tea:

I sent you a friends request on Myspace...I think I am going to do something also, but I don't think it will be on myspace. (too many ex's on there ;-) ) I will be sure to post a link to where I decide to call home!

I sent ya a friends request. I am not open about my surgery on myspace but I love to chat on there and we can chat and keep each others spirits up.

I accepted both requests and I am sending a request to HarleyGirl.

I understand not wanting to be so open about the surgery on your page - that's why I made a separate account just for me to chronicle my journey and upload before and after pictures.

It's not that I feel like I need to hide it from my friends. It's just that I don't want to constantly talk about it to them. I'm sure they'll get tired of it after awhile. Being friended with other bandsters, I think we can motivate one another and learn from one another, too.

Got it, Andi!

Your doggies are so adorable!

I've got some pics of my terrors up on my page, too!

I will probably add a blog or something to my page at some point.....

Haha, thank you! They are real sweethearts, usually. They just don't understand why they can't jump up on my lap and gut like they used to. I've had furry cannonballs in the gut a couple times since surgery and while it didn't hurt as bad as I imagined, I just don't want them dislodging something.

I tend to blog just to purge my thoughts. Sometimes it helps to just get that stuff out! Especially when I'm feeling especially cranky due to head hunger and liquid diet woes. :cursing:

Plus, I have a few friends on my lapband account who are considering WLS (one lapband, the other gastric bypass) and have been curious of how things are post-surgery. So, I figure I'll be honest as possible there because I think they should be able to see both the good and the bad.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
