NJ March 2008 Chat

Recommended Posts

Trying to start a new chat for us this month. I'm not liking the SEARCH engine in here right now. It pull me out of LBT? Gotta go all around to find the one for the local threads....found out it looks like you have to be in a specific thread to do a search and you use the threads toolbar search thats in a pull down? Gotta be an easier way. BRB and will post the link to this months chat for us in February's thread. WHEW!

Man...it was already a project trying to figure out how to search LBT without having to outside of LBT with that google search thing at the top. I didn't want to put another March chat in if someone else had done it. I'm still looking on how to use tools in here too so I can be a better help as a moderator but, honestly afta workin on these computers all week it's pretty tough. My mind is still sleepin but, I couldn't sleep anymore this morning hahaha.

Eileen - girlfriend......I so hear ya on the need a kick in the butt thing. Do you have a chat function or IM thing you use for quick chatting? lol. Or we're gonna take up the entire thread with this lol

Good Morning. Yeah, I am not liking the new search either....and I used to suggest it a lot for newbies wanting certain info, I never suggest it anymore!

We have several things planned for the day...mostly just fun stuff!! Going for a ride later ---yay!

My bandster friend from CO made it in last night and we sat up yakking til early in the morning!! Was fun to see her again.

Will check in later----wanted to get started in the right place!!

Thanks Sherry!

I'm off to have lunch with my regular local band group. I'll check in later tonight. Abi is doing great. She hasn't taken a single dose of pain meds since we left the hospital. She had a dose in the recovery room, and then nothing else, not even tylenol. Have a great sat everyone. ~Mandy

Hey Jetti, Diane is in Mexico, probably sipping on a big fat margarita.

Speaking of losing hair, I've been making tiny balls out of hair that's coming out when I wash my hair...YIKES. Fortunately, I have very thick hair, so the warning light flashed, so I've started concentrating on Protein intake. Are you getting your Protein in?

Later girlies, will try to do personals tomorrow

Hubby and I had the best meal tonight at Bone Fish, I had a salad, well I ordered a salad to go with my appetizer of ahi tuna, then my salad was delivered half way through the ahi that was on lettuce, that I thought was my salad, LOL.

Good Morning Y'all!

What a difference in weather! It was great all weekend, near 80, we went riding and worked outside. This morning it's raining/storming and it's going to get down to 32 tonight. Yikes! No wonder everyone is sick!

Pat that is too funny on the salad! So, are you all healed up now?

Kat hope you had a fun ride!

Mandy glad Abi is doing so good!

Sherry I still haven't heard anything about the search button.

Jessica good morning to you!

Diane I hope you are having a wonderful time and drink one for me!

Eileen - Hey girlie! Did you build a snowman?

Later gals!

Hope Abi is still mending well!!

Weather turned here too----t shirts Saturday, snow flurries Sunday----I am sooo ready for Spring!

Will check back with all of you after I get back!

Kat, the package came while we were out, and she was sooo excited to get it when we came home. She is already working in the workbook. Everything was perfect. She told my mom that one of mommies band friends sent her a feel better box. Thanks again.

She is starting to have a bit of a drippy nose and it's driving me nutz. She refuses to wipe it, she just keeps sucking it back in.....argh!!! Well we are going to attempt school tomorrow, with some limitations. ~Mandy

Jetti, our weather was beautiful today, 74, and supposed to be warmer tomorrow, I'm sooooo ready for spring. We went out on our little yacht today, dropped anchor and lets just leave it at that .

Kat good luck on the tooth tomorrow, I'd rather have a baby than go to the dentist! That was so sweet sending Abi a healing box.

Mandy, ya gotta teach that girl to blow, remember she's been through a lot these last few months, she may require a little more patience.

Going to the beach house tomorrow, we're taking DH's other toy, the Corvette, only if it's warm enough to put the top down. I hope the weather cooperates.

Hugs all around.

I am so glad Abi got her box, and is feeling up to school tomorrow! Hope it goes great. Kids all seem to prefer snuffing as opposed to blowing or wiping.....some men too. My BIL drives me nuts with this deep sucking of everything in his head--I cannot describe the grossness!!!!!

Well we are off to chinese, last time it did not set well.....so we will see!!!

Catch ya in awhile!!

Kat

Pat, she cannot blow her nose for 14 days from surgery. But she could wipe it, or at least let me wipe it. She knows how to blow her nose but with her other problems she would rather wipe it on her sleeve or suck it back in. Stopping to blow it takes too much time and energy. It's a wonder I have not locked her in a room and ran away from home yet.

Kat, good luck tomorrow. We are all saying prayers for you. Let us know how it goes.

Night all, Mandy

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
