**sigh**, Steph to be honest i wasnt in that much pain.

sure it hurt (i think it was me that said something about being cut in half), but not as much as you'd think being cut in half would hurt ...

i had my op on Friday and my last dose of pain meds (liquid lorotab) was Sunday night and that was only to knock me out to sleep.

you're only having the tummy area, right? not the arms or girls? im quite thankful that i didnt have other areas done or i would have been dead in the Water i think ... i cannot imagine trying to get up out of bed (a total chore in itself) without using my arms.

one tip i can suggest - do some major squats / lunges now.. my thigh muscles pulled me through getting up off the bathroom and out of bed..

it did hurt when DH had to give me the blood thinner shots in my back ...

trying to think of what else really hurt... nothing excrutiating...

the skin pulled was quite uncomfortable, but you just grin and bear it...

i have nerve twinges every once in awhile...

the itching was really bad ... really bad but that was from my Lipo incisions... what helped a great deal was putting Aveeno anti-itch cream (not lotion) on them. the itching didnt start until several days post op.

you'll do great! and with you being smaller than i am, your results are going to be fantabulous!!! :frown:

LJM - you stayed home that first week right? So you had the weekend and then a whole week to rest? As I read everyones ps adventures I have taken notice that those who had Lipo seemed to have more pain then the ones who didnt' and also the mulitiple surgery people also seem to have more pain. Thank you for your advice on the lunges. I dont' really know how strong my legs are so thats something to think about. My surgeon said he doesn't see doing any lipo, I don't have any back fat (believe it or not) and he says the only part he's worried about is that inner fat that I have below my ribs and I understand he won't be able to lipo that. I take a hot bath every night and just try to imagine what it'll be like to have a flat stomach - seems almost surreal that I'm really going to get a tt!

I can't wait to see the pic! You know its so crazy shopping now. Do you find yourself looking at the plus size clothes? I will catch myself and then go wait a minute, move to the ladies and still I've bought two tops in a large that I should have had a medium in, but bc they were t-shirts I didnt' think I needed to bother trying them on. A pleasant waste of money. I need work clothes bc nothing from last season fits but I'm still holding off until after my tt, JUST incase I go down a size!

ugh... horrible picture ... but i'll post anyway ... my 'trunk' is really swollen today and my garment is an old one .. excuses excuses...

im still very hesitant not going to the + section, or even Avenue / Lane Bryant for that matter. their smaller sizes still fit me (and i love the casique (sp?) bras with a little padding in them)...

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
