March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

Recommended Posts

Well today is my one year anniversary. I started off at 345 and I am now at 234 That is a loss of 111 lbs in one year. I don't forsee a loss like that this year. My goal weight is around 220. I go in for a fill on wednesday and I am currently at 6cc's which is the most I ever had filled at one time.

I have also put on alot of muscle. I have ALOT of deffinition in my legs, arms and chest. Stomach is still got some flabbiness to it. I have been working on sit ups which has some what helped but think I might actually have to get a Tummy Tuck :). Which doctor told me I wouldn't need. Oh well I'll give it another year and a few lbs to see where I stand.:crying:

Hi Everyone, Today is also my bandiversary. I can not believe that I have lost 120lbs in one year. I did not think that I would be able to lose 50. So looking back this year, I am very grateful that I made the decision to get the band. I am very proud of the committment that I made to myself to finally get healthy. Yes it was a lot of hard work and dedication, but I am proud that I was able to stick to something and see the results. The hardest part of the year was dealing with the head and emotional issues. Now I feel those are mostly under control and I NOW feel happy for the first time in a long time. I am now thinner than I was in high school. I am looking forward to going back to my home town this weekend, Forks, WA. Yes that is where Twilight was based on and no I do not know any vampires. he he ha ha. Now I am getting my DH started on his band journey. They are beginning to submit all of the paperwork for him. Now on to a new year with more exciting results.

potatie - Congrats on the 1 year mark!!!!

We are such losers!!! Don't ya love it!!!

I have no idea if my insurance will cover plastic surgery. (I have been to afraid to call and ask.) But, I plan to look into it after I have lost another 30 pounds or so. My belly, arms, legs are still big. Ugh.... And of course, I want the girls reduced and lifted. :-)

It is rainy and dreary. I am hoping for pretty weather this weekend. I love to walk and hike outside.

I do feel like I am back on track after my fill and unfill last week. I am ready for some more results. I have basically played with the same 2-3 pounds for the last 2-3 months. So finally, the last two weeks the scale has moved in the right direction.

Where is Tess and Fenton??

Nothing new band wise to report here. Just thought I'd check in. We bought a time share yesterday with Silverleaf Resorts and we are very excited. We love to travel and vacation and with a family of five it's not alway easy.

I was reading all of the posts, and realizing how much we've all lost. It's amazing... just on page 292 we've lost over 800 pounds!!! That's insane. We are all doing so well. Especially Scrappy, Andrew and Harley girl.

I set a new goal for myslef this morning. I received my 20 year reunion invitation in the mail about a week ago and the reunion is in October. I'm going to be in onederland by then.

I don't think I'll be in any two pieces anytime soon though. You go Harley!!

well I went to the doctor today for a "refill" and he told me that the reason I got "stuck" was due to the little pill they give you when doing the GI series that shouldn't be given to lapbanders.....I gained 6 lbs in one week!!:mad:I can't believe it...the dam was open and I was able to eat anything that wasn't nailed down :tt2: but the good news is that I got a refill of 1 cc and again feel some restriction...thank goodness.

My bloodwork was perfect (after 22 vials taken out I'm surprised I wasn't anemic...but my cholesterol was 300!!! :mad2::eekB:I've never had high cholesterol. I think the culprit is all the eggs that I'm eating. So I guess I'm going to start eating the the fake ones from now on.. I have an appt in a month and I guess I'll just start a new day tomorrow...off to the gym and stop eating....:tt2:

Glad to see everyone is doing well. Congratulations on 120 lbs!!! I think you guys are fabulous....we are so bless to be able to have had the option of getting this done.

The weather has finally broken and I am so happy to see the sun...

:cool2::biggrin:

Hi Shamrocks!

Today the last of our little group will hit their one year mark. What a year! I am planning on an even better one next year.

The doctor tells me that insurance will cover the removal of my belly flap due to the skin issues. I'm waiting for another 80 pounds or so to do that! So, maybe next year! That's ok with me.

I really love my wii fit toy. It hardly feels like exercise. I am amused at the thing. (It tells me I am unbalanced a lot! - but I am a masta at yoga - ???) I have muscles that have not been sore like that in a while

I got a fill last week and now I think I'm too tight again. I feel as if I'm stuck even with a sip of water.I hate to get unfilled because I know I'll lose weight with it be cause I can only eat a 1/4 cup of food and it's hard to get that much down. I just have this dull feeling in my chest .Ithink I'll give it another week to see if it gets any easier .

I had something similar happen a few monthes back. Couldn't even swallow Water. I just called them and told them i needed an adjustment and they took out 0.3 cc's and I was fine. Of course now when I got for fills I only do it in ½ CC increments. instead of 1 to 2 cc's

Good to know about the really small fills. I have an appointment on the 28th and I am still pretty satisfied with my restriction, but also feel like I could use a tiny tweak. I think a 1/2 cc would be perfect. I haven't even seen the doc since I reached restriction in October. I bet he's going to be surprised.

I think Fenton is focusing on finishing his book.

I'm sure he'll be back soon.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
