It'll all be o.k. You'll do fine. I was nervous as a, well I won't say, but I was nervous too. You have a week left, use this time wisely and think about the outcome in the long run. Think about things like how great you're going feel, how great you're going to look, and how much healthier you're going to be. I am in Texas and didn't have to do the pre-op diet so I have no clue what you're going through there, but good luck on everything, and it'll all be over before you know it. Keep us posted on your progress.

Hi there and welcome to LBT! How are you doing on the pre-op diet? I know it can be tough at times, but it is so worth it in the end. Let us know if you have any questions and how you are doing.

Hi there, thankyou for warm welcome. West Midlands is in Birmingham United Kingdom. I am 4 days into pre-op diet which is 3 pints of semi-skimmed milk,2 low fat yoghurts and 1 stock cube a day! Thats it lol Day 2 was the hardest, felt really headachey and moody.I dreamt about eating-then jumped wide awake as I was scared I had eaten! Counting down the days now-7 to go,really excited.

My BMI is 44,dieted most of my life with no longterm success. Finally I managed to finance the sugery myself, when referals from my Doctor had got nowhere. I have just typed in lapband on youtube, and watched the surgery process and spent most of this morning in tears! But,Im in no doubt Im doing the right thing, and I am positive I will suceed in the weight loss.

This site will be my helping hand, and its great to hear so many positive words.:tt2:

Does that mean you'll only Celebrate your bandaversary every 4 years? Sorry, couldn't resist! Good luck to you!

Well,I was looking forward to it being a special leap year day hehe-but yesterday I had phone call postponing my banding till the 1st March! I know its only a day later but I was still disapointed. Pre-op diet for another day...so still 7 days and counting! lol

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
