Recommended Posts

Aw, Laura, we will certainly cheer you on!!!! There are lots of March Bandsters and you have to speak up, kinda like your birthday. Noone will tell you Happy Birthday unless you remind them of it! I plan to post my exit and entrance to bandland...I'm not afraid to ask for a little cheerleading!!! I'll add you to our list right now.

Thanks Kathy! I'm getting a little nervous. Eating all my favorite foods (in moderation I must add) over the past few days. I'm going to go out with a bang at 11:59 PM on Thursday night! I'm psyched! Thanks again!

Oh my gosh, confession time. I went to lunch with my MIL today and ordered this very yummy but terribly unhealthy egg dish...at Bob Evans, it's a Sunshine Skillet, scrambled eggs, topped with hash browns, sausage crumbles, cream sausage gravy, and topped with melted cheese, served with bisquits...Oh my heavens it was very yummy and so full of fat I can't even imagine. I only ate one bisquit and couldn't quite finish the bowl...it felt like a "last supper" of sorts. I felt guilty being so fat sitting there eating something so utterly fattening, but, post-banding, no way would it be worth the money to order something like that. So, it was worth it!

Friday will be here before you know it! Woohooo!!

(Hey-bisquit doesn't look right, did I spell that correctly?)

OMG! It's funny you say that because as I remember Bible school, wasn't the last supper the night before Good Friday? I hope I don't offend anyone, but it's kind of ironic isn't it that my last supper (of sorts - as I know it now) will be the same night and then surgery on Good Friday? woowoo woowoo woowoo woowoo....

I know how you feel though. I had Popeye's chicken tonight (mostly Beans and rice if you can believe it) and a gyro last night. We never eat like that at home (ok, every once in a while but certainly not right after each other) and I feel like I'm trying to get the last of my food "loves" in this week. I even think we are going to have Easter dinner on Thursday night since I don't like ham in a blender!!! Just kidding....I'll still be on Clear liquids Sunday......Trying to steal the marshmallow chocolate eggs from the kids probably!!!

My DH told me to put together a list of all my favorite restaurants and every night we've been having dinner at one of the restaurants on my list. I feel terribly guilty but he keeps telling me to enjoy it while I can. He's so good to me, I'm very lucky.

Yes, I wrote a post that went way down the New Post list in like, an hour, what with all the recent melee. Oh well!

TrishS should be coming to the list soon, and I'm sure as March marches by, more will get scheduled. Just 6 more weeks for me! Yippee!

I seen you had surgery on the 8th. Congrads! How are you doing? My surgery is sceduled with Dr. Kuri April 18th. I'm nervous because I've been reading bout all the problems everyone is having and I'm so far away if something goes wrong. Should I need an unfill or acid reflux or whatever... Can you reassure me please, I've already paid my deposit. Thanks so much Roo-Roo

Awww, that is so sweet! You ARE very lucky, I'm so happy for you! Enjoy those restaurants, eating out won't ever be the same again (and that's a good thing...cause I know I can really chow on lots of yummy food.) From now on, we'll eat really yummy food slowly and eat a whole lot less of it! Think of the money we'll save!

Hey Isa, your restaurant crawl is a great idea. I feel like your band sister because we are starting at exactly the same size; I'm 5'9" and weighed 265 on my home scale, but something in the Monterrey air made me thinner at the doc's office! Congrats to all April bandsters.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
