"Fat Friendly" LOL... girl you're funny! Yeah they have to understand that if they're gonna work on that floor they have to be "friendly to the fat" LOL

You know i'll be there for ya ...hopefully they'll give you Kenya..she was very nice, polite, and curteous.

so i will be fine i hope. just a little worried about the shoulder pain which is related to the gas pain.

I had the shoulder pain for a couple days...it's more of a nagging pain than real intense... the most intense pain is in my side and going accross my lower back. but the more i "expel" the gas the less intense it is... you might not have the pain as worse as me ...either way i know you can handle it :-)

.. can anyone tell me if SF Jello pudding is ok on the full liquid diet?

By the time I was home about 4 days, I had Tomato Soup because by then I was getting hungry . THe Soup really saved me. Then a couple of days after that I had SF Jello pudding. I figured as long as the Tomato soup went down, I would try a little of the pudding slowly and it was ok. And then little by little I tried the Knorrs cream Soups. I never really pureed anything unless there were lumps in the soups.

I found that if I just went slow, I was ok.

Hey Gurl... how much of the soup or protein did you drink to get your stomach hurting ? Maybe you drank too much of it or too fast ?

I don't know if I am fortunate that I was able to drink anything or not because now I feel that I can eat and drink too much without a problem !! The scale is not moving !!! I just wonder what the doctor is going to say to me next week when I see him !! Oh well, maybe I need a fill already.. I hope not.

Big Gurl, congratulations!! Hang in there. The journey is just beginning! I am going to be very truthful. Remember the band is a tool, you may still be able to eat. I am struggling terribly with eating too much, at the wrong time, and gaining weight. Hopefully this time I will be able to stop it right away. You wont hit this for awhile. The first 6 weeks, to me, were easy, pain, gas and all. Maybe it will be different if I get a fill. It is a big responsibility. But I know you can, and will, do it!

Thanks Linda! I'm very excited to start this journey and see where i'll be this summer:rolleyes: right now i'm so tight that i don't think i'll be over eating no time soon. oh i did have a bad dream last night.. i fell asleep watching House and dreamed that i was one of the interns and was on liquid fast.. i was in the hospital cafeteria and they came out with fresh piping hot cheese N peperoni pizza..and i was like forget it! LOL... I ate THREE slices and was looking for a peice of carrot cake...but the carrot cake didnt look too good so I was running around looking for something chocolate:drool:..then I woke up! LMAO

crazy dream!

not much ..just a couple of tablespoon full. i felt my stomach rumbling a little then i got sore..so i left it alone after that and went back to Jello and Water.

try replacing one of your meals with a low carb/high Protein Shake maybe that'll give you a jump start

Hi gals, haven't written in a while cause I had 7 x-mas parties is 1 1/5 weeks, and have managed to gain 6.1 lbs. boo hoo....

I am finding it difficult to start back on south beach after eating all the goodies and am starving. I also have had the worst headache for almost a week, and am wondering if it is due to diet change...hummmm, maybe huh? anyhow, good luck to all you new surg girls and let me be a lesson to you all, you can still gain wait with the band!!!!

Well I have a surgery date scheduled 12/29! I am so excited & nervous. I am really lucky they were so good about moving up my date bcz of the whole ins fiasco. So had my pre-op testing & EGD last week, and I go for my final weighin 12/22 & medical clearance 12/23. So couple questions...

Has anyone had problems getting auth from BCBS and/or how long did it take?

And, if I havent lost my full 5% by the final weighin do you think they will cancel my surgery? Or what do they do??

Thanks for the info,

Danielle

Danielle, I will be there for a f/u with Dr. Posner on the 22nd at 10 am. What time are you going to be there ? Maybe we can meet.

What doctor are you having ?

My approval came w/i 5 days of the request and I think its all up the the doc if you don't loose the 5 %. Maybe with the insurance issue at hand, he will let it go as long as you loose some.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
