Bloom, it does not hurt to get a fill, at least it did not hurt me. If you have lost 1-2 pounds a week they may not fill you as that is the expected weight loss. But good luck, let us know.

Hey Judy, it went GREAT! Y'all were right, I didn't need a fill, and he's not even sure if I'll need one on Jan. 6th if I keep up how I've been so far. I've lost another 15 lbs. for a total of 75 since the end of May when I first started the program. Insane!!!!!!! So things are great, I'm gonna bump up my exercise, though!

Good morning, i have my 1st appt at BGH today, the whole 3 hour deal. NOw I cant remember, they said to wear comfortable clothes but do they have you do some kind of excercise or something? I have to go back to work after & I'm afraid I'm going to be sweating my butt off and need another change of clothes...?

If I remember correctly, they put me on the treadmill for about 10 minutes and talked to me while I was walking. They also did not set it to a very fast pace so I really didn't get into a sweat. Then she brought me to a couch type piece of furniture ( no back on it ) that she tested my strength of my legs and arms. It was strenuous for me -- my arms mostly, but not enough to break a sweat.

Good luck today. The group are all very nice. I will be there also for my last weigh-in at 1:30. Peobably won't see you.

ok I swear I am cursed when it comes to all this. I was supposed to have my 1st 3 hour appt toady at BGH. BUT I just left work early, got on the thruway & then got a message on my cell phone that the NP was sick & they cancelled my appt...took me 5 months to get that appt.

So I called and unbelievable I actually get thru to Marietta and she refused to give me a specific date for a new appt, said prob 12/3 but she would send me a letter. So now since THEY had to cancel I have to WAIT ANOTHER 4 WEEKS!! I am just beyond discouraged.

Oh no!!! That's not fair, you should be able to get in there next Wednesday!!! I would call back and ask to be put on the "cancel" list, so that if someone cancels you can get right in next week.

Hi guys, This is bandofgold "band" ... has anyone had problems with there lapband site. I was told i had to re register and could not log on for nothing, and when i tried my user name bandofgold, it said it was already in use and no matter what i tried, nothing worked. so now I am vixter. tried to set it up as it was before, but had to change the user name!!!!!!!!!!

any way, congrats to you Bloom, way to go!!!

I opened my mouth to soon, i was down to 226 and now I'm up to 229. I am so discouraged, i swear if i didn't starve myself and eat only protien, i would never lose. I am even walking twice a day. I don't know what i'm doing wrong, but hopefully i will get over it soon, and start losing again.

When is the next meeting, anyone got a date?

thanks all and talk with you later.

Hi everyone, What's up with the web site? I'm scheduled for surgery on Friday. It really went fast. I seen Dr. P on Oct 20th. I'm down 20 lbs and ready. I bought EAS at Sam's club the other day it's ok but not a frozen ice cap. I Wish. Is it ok to chew my Viactiv when I'm on liquids? Is any Soup ok if I strain it ? They gave me a suggested schedule on how to get all my liquids in. Did any of you follow it or any suggestions. Do you get a foley? See you soon.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
