The President/CEO of the company I work for has a rule that he lives by, "five minutes early is on time".

i'm usually 10-5 mins early to work, unless there's an accident or ppl on their cell phones (LOVE SO.CAL!) then i 'm probably in right at 8. but at my old job, since the pay was horrible and managers demanded workers to bust their asses for nothing, i would come in 30-45 minutes late...never heard a complaint...then again i would leave at 7or 8 at night...:cheers2:

Late late late. I am a chronically messy and disorganised person - and this is the one area of my personality I have found really necessary to work on in order to lose weight. It is precisely that - laziness, disorganisation, lack of forethought which caused me to gain wait. No time to exercise becuase I'm chasing my tail, no food to eat becuase I couldnt be bothered shopping, so dial for a pizza again type of thing. NO food for kids lunches, so call in to the convenience store on the wayt o school to pay heinous prices for absolute rubbish.

I have really managed to mend my ways and nobody has been late for school yet this year, lol, but they've only been back at school a few weeks (our long holiday is over December/January).

I'd always manage to get places on time, so I lie when I say late, but the trouble is, I'd leave a bomb site behind me. To get somewhere on time and leave a clean house behind, now that would be a dream.

LOL! I think we were separated at birth, Jacqui! That is me to a T!

I set my own hours for years----and before that---I worked from my home----both running a day care center. I am VERY organized in most matters---you must be if you have all those kids in your home every day!!!

I had parents who I could have set my watch by!!! Always on time, kids backpacks organized, and prepared lunches. Then I had parents who knew Kat would not let their little ones go hungry---although they somehow, somewhere found time to stop and grab their own coffee and cigarettes....but most fell somewhere in between!

That was at drop off. Until I turned it into a business outside my home, every last one of them at one point or another took advantage. They would stop and do their shopping quickly before picking up the kids---yeah with every other working parent in town! Then I got tough. 15 minutes grace, and then $10.00 per quarter hour! They paid once and were suddenly on time!

Now I no longer work----I take care of my granddaughter---and find myself RUNNING to make it places on time!!!

Payback I am sure!!

Kat

I hate to admit this, but I am ALWAYS, like every day early by 20-30 minutes. I like the quiet time and hate when others are late. I am chronically on time, but once in a while I will be 5 min late for a social occasion.

In the 17 years with my present job, I have only been late once; car trouble. I had to call an administrator to warn them because I am a school teacher.

I can't afford to be late by even ONE minute, so for that reason, I try to arrive an hour early. It's time well spent because I always have work to catch up on. :tongue2:

Today was my first day to ever be late!!! A car accident stopped traffic to a standstill for over a half an hour. I called in.....and read a book. Hated losing the $$$ tho, it sucked, got up, got ready should have been there, on the clock, but was stuck on the road instead!!!

Always early!

:tongue2: I work with a lady who is late by about 2-3 hours. Every. Day.

I'm usually 5-10, but I rideshare with my DH, and he works later hours...so I'm usually at work longer, even though I arrive later.

Besides...that's my schedule. There isn't really a time to be here every day, I just told them I'd be here at 7, so I feel like I should be here at 7. DH, however....well, that's a different story.

If we need to be anywhere at a certain time, I tell him 1/2 hour earlier! He's always late! To everything!

I think I''ve been late for work one time. There was an electrical storm and my alarm clock was knocked out. This was before I had a cell phone (I use it as my alarm clock now....no probs) and taught me the wisdom of having a battery back-up for the clock.

I worked at Honda of America for 7 years and they had a policy where they would pay you a bonus for being on time and at work every day. The bonus would go up for every paycheck that you were continually on time, you could use your vacation time to make up for it, but vacation time way my time so I was just on time all the time. still am

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
