Mine is to get to final goal ASAP. I'm close, but not close enough. It gets a lot harder the more you lose because your body seems to get used to the small amount of food for fuel.

By May would make me extremely happy....

You're right - I've done those things and am losing steadily again, but no where near as much as in my first 6 months or so. I'll get there, its just going to take time.

Training for a half marathon should be helping!

I am fully aware that my short term goal is crazy. My SIL's wedding is April 26th. I would like to reach "Onederland" by then. Of course I have a sinister motive, but it seems to be enough to keep me going (muhahahaha!). My husband and I were guilted into having her in our wedding party and she was such a tw*t! My revenge? To look better than her in her own wedding photos! Childish, I know, but I can't sink myself to her level and give her the same piece of the hell that she gave me. So instead I will relish in my own inner sense of retribution.

On December 30th when I set my goal, I had to lose 67 pounds to get there. As of this morning, I have 77 days to lose 42.5 pounds (HA!). If I keep going the way I have (average loss of 20 pounds a month), I know I can do it. And I know that all of you can meet your short term goals as well!!!!

I have a short goal of weighing 270 by Feb. 24th, the day my sister is getting married! That gives me 14 days...I can so do it! Especially now, because I'm sick and am barely eating anything as it is!

The half marathon is March 9. I registered for it today, so theres not turning back now!!

I know in my city some of the running clubs run training courses in preparation for half and full marathons. They schedule runs 3 or 4 days a week 12 weeks in advance and teach you all about nutrition and technique and the right clothes to wear etc. Its costs a few hundred dollars but if you want to start from scratch, something like that would be ideal. I'd just see if you could google and see if there are running clubs in your area and contact them to see.

That said, I'm no running hero, I definitely don't look glamorous after 10kms like some of the runners do!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
