Mine is to get to final goal ASAP. I'm close, but not close enough. It gets a lot harder the more you lose because your body seems to get used to the small amount of food for fuel.

By May would make me extremely happy....

you have done soo well! congrats. maybe if you tweek one thing in your diet or exercise routine you can get their sooner? I dont know- I am still new and having it come off rather quickly.

you can do it!!!

You're right - I've done those things and am losing steadily again, but no where near as much as in my first 6 months or so. I'll get there, its just going to take time.

Training for a half marathon should be helping!

that is going to kick up your weightloss without a doubt! id like to get into running but i have no idea how to do it correctly. I am going to look into a running clinic, i wonder if they have those.

when is the marathon?

we are going to vegas april 3-5. i want to have lost 15 more lbs by then. i know i am really going to have to buckle down and work this! wish me luck.

I am fully aware that my short term goal is crazy. My SIL's wedding is April 26th. I would like to reach "Onederland" by then. Of course I have a sinister motive, but it seems to be enough to keep me going (muhahahaha!). My husband and I were guilted into having her in our wedding party and she was such a tw*t! My revenge? To look better than her in her own wedding photos! Childish, I know, but I can't sink myself to her level and give her the same piece of the hell that she gave me. So instead I will relish in my own inner sense of retribution.

On December 30th when I set my goal, I had to lose 67 pounds to get there. As of this morning, I have 77 days to lose 42.5 pounds (HA!). If I keep going the way I have (average loss of 20 pounds a month), I know I can do it. And I know that all of you can meet your short term goals as well!!!!

Well... mine is to loose 13 lbs by the end of the month.... I really don't have a reason other than it will make a total of 15lbs. lost in Feb

I have a short goal of weighing 270 by Feb. 24th, the day my sister is getting married! That gives me 14 days...I can so do it! Especially now, because I'm sick and am barely eating anything as it is!

My short term goal would have to be 250 for right now ... Just to even make it to the 2's that I havent seen in almost 3yrs LOL. I will just be sooo happy so see that LOL. And than once there goal will be 250!

when is the marathon?

The half marathon is March 9. I registered for it today, so theres not turning back now!!

I know in my city some of the running clubs run training courses in preparation for half and full marathons. They schedule runs 3 or 4 days a week 12 weeks in advance and teach you all about nutrition and technique and the right clothes to wear etc. Its costs a few hundred dollars but if you want to start from scratch, something like that would be ideal. I'd just see if you could google and see if there are running clubs in your area and contact them to see.

That said, I'm no running hero, I definitely don't look glamorous after 10kms like some of the runners do!
