I went in Hardees and thought I was gonna vommit

Recommended Posts

Clear Liquids diet is the pits. 4 more days of clear liquids. Then a week after surgery, my surgeon is mean lol. Well I guess I should look at it this way my liver will be small and not in the way, my waist will be smaller since I'm on the liquid plan at the moment.

This morning I had to pee really bad I was on the way to my hair appointment, I pulled over at Hardees just walking in the door the smell of biscuits and meat I wanted to throw up. I used to dry by Hardees on the way home and get me a big ol Biscuit and sausage, hash round, and a orange juice, mmm what probably 500 600 calories all in one whack?

Sadly, I'm afraid the calorie damage from that "normal" pit stop would have been much higher that 500-600 calories.

Sausage biscuit 550 Cal 36 gms fat

Hash round 230 Cal 14 gms fat

OJ 140 Cal 1 gm fat

Total 920 Cal 51 gms fat

That's about what you'll be eating in calories in a whole day after you get the band. Your body will thank you!!!!

Good luck.

That is so funny, I was just about to look up the calories as well. I knew it had to more more than 500 calories

You can look up nutritional info online for most major fast food places. Later on, it can help you make better choices if you stop there occassionally.

Well I knew it was more calories than that LOL like any fat person we believe we are consuming about half of what we really are. Needless to say I don't think I will ever visit any of my old fast food buddies again, might as well just eat plague

Actually, my doctor said I could have anything that would go through a straw, but not to use a straw. Hubby would bring home a little container of gravy, I'd blend it though my lil magic bullet blender, then dip my spoon in it and OMG, it was sooooo good and filling.

The reality of american life is that we will most likely be faced with a fast food restuarant again... perhaps we'll be driving a long distance and have to stop at a highway rest stop etc.

The key is to research online the nutritional info and then we can at least choose the food that has the lowest calorie or the best food nutritionally wise, that the fast food place offers. A kiddie meal or a salad, small order chicken nuggets, etc.

Being prepared with a Protein Bar for a snack can help us avoid being overhungry and making a bad choice or give us time to get to a healthier food choice restaurant.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
