My stripper name would be Eileen Woodbridge. Not very stripperish. Before it would have been Eileen Rt. 1. Really not stripperish. But when i was younger it would have been Eileen Goodboy. A little better. LOL

My screen name is in spanish. Mar means sea and lluvia means rain, both of which can be soothing or rousing. I'm a piscis, hence the fish swimming in opposite directions.

My name is fairly self explanatory...I live in canada, and my real name is Sunshine.

WHY my name is Sunshine is NOT quite as simple...lol

You see, I was named after a retarded eskimo. Oops *erm*...I mean a "mentally handicapped Inuit person."

My father is American and back in the early 70's he worked dfor the Merchant Marines. He was stationed off the coast of Alaska, back when there wasn't alot of contact between the Inuit and the rest of the world.

On one occasion my father and a buddy of his ventured into the Inuit village and at some point met an elder who was accompanied by a little handicapped girl. The girl was sort of oblivious to everything around her but was friendly with my father and told him her name...("Melody-Sunshine")...He thought that was really sweet but wondered why it was "Melody-Sunshine" in English. The elder explained to him, in her own broken English, that her people were taking an unhappy path. (alcohol was quite a serious issue in this particular village) Their culture was suffering, (mostly as a result of the presence of white men like my father!:think ) ..and out of all her people this little girl would never lose her innocence, she would never see her people fall and would never lose her smile.

My dad eventually told this story to my mother years and years later...and she stored in her memory until she had a baby girl. She named me Sunshine and my little sister Melody...in hopes perhaps that we would never lose our smiles.:)

Now, I still wonder why it was in English...but my Dad said alot of what was said must've been lost in translation. lol:confused:

For as long as I can remember when I have to state my name, I always have to answer the next question; which is always: "Is that your real name?"...and then:"Were your parents hippies?"

I usually just say "yes" cuz it's much easier than the whole retarded eskimo bit.

LOVE THIS THREAD!!! SORRY TO DRONE ON!!

Wow, I've learned alot.

Nancysmiles, your name brings tears to my eyes.

Princess n thep... I was thinking it was like "princess in therapy"- your version is much better!

I always wondered where Funnyduddies came from too...

Lizzilo is the name my ex-ex-ex boyfriend called me. It's cause my name is liz and it's like a snoop dog version of it (ugh :( )

On yahoo my name is lizpqr. We had the same homeroom through all of high school and in my junior year, someone asked me (when signing yearbooks) hey- how do you spell liz? I replied "p-q-r" and it stuck for my whole senior year. I thought it was a silly question. I was a smarta** even then....

So, stripper names. I had originally heard your first pet and the road you first lived on, which would be Patches Scottsdale. Hmm... or it could be Patches Clark (with the maiden name thing). Dog now and street now Kaydie Krystal Leigh.... not so good. I like Patches Scottsdale the best.

Well, JoyceGA is my original screen name from AOL days in 1994. I use it when being the real me -- "Joyce in Georgia".

But cyberlife allows for all our personalities to emerge. My past and other current screen names:

HanksHussy. I was the original Hank's Hussy on the Dr. Quinn List and a fan group was organized for William Shockley called "the Hussies". The show is gone now, and I have moved on; but the Hussies still are active. http://williamshockley.com/hankprofile.html

SassyRed. My high school and college nickname. I use for old friends.

IrishHussy. Well, I always liked being a hussy, but didn't want to be labeled as Hank's anymore...what would Tom, Dick and Harry think? On dating sites, my box fills quickly because of that name.

LiteraryLady. A name I use with my on line book groups.

Then there is my favorite name, though I don't use it as a screen name. My trailer trash name: Jolene Donothing. Get your trailer trash name at: http://www.trailerparkmusical.com/

My screen name always seemed perfectly obvious to me, but no one else seems to get it - everyone always refers to me as Momo.

It is Mom O' Trips - Mom of Triplets...BTW, my boys just turned 8 last week. EIGHT! How did that happen?

My real stripper name would be Daisy Bridlewreath (first pet, first street name) However, we moved so often that I will just take my pick of street names. Daisy San Miguel sounds stripperish. If I used my second pets name it would be Muffy San Miguel both equally trashy. I think that if I'd ever had to choose a stripper name it would be a one namer - Fireball. My cousin used to call me that to annoy me. When you're a redhead you come equipped with a whole set of nicknames - cute to pornographic. Can I get an amen from FunnyDuddies? I have the cutest redheaded boy since Opie Taylor (luckily he's precious and has a personality to match). Maybe I should prepare him for the inevitable nicknames. I have another drop-dead gorgeous auburn haired boy - being pretty is his blessing, because he's a real brainiac and is destined for MAJOR geekhood. My third has brown hair and the bluest eyes you ever saw - already he loves the ladies. Weird looking triplets, I tell you.

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
