MMMMmmm.. Edamame

Lauren wasn't lying!

This stuff is GOOD!!!

I got my lightly salted bags in the mail today, and I love it.

It tastes just like pistachio's IMO.

And I'm not a huge fan of pistachio's, but these are good. The texture is a lot nicer.

Num num!

Target's "Archer Farms" Brand carries in the Froz Food Section Mukimame (shelled soybeans) Steam in a Bag. Good alternative rather than the shelled edamame and cheap $1.49 per bag.

I made some edamame hummus this weekend. MmMMmmmmmMmmMMMMMMmmMMMMMmmmmmmmm. Of course, it's not "hummus," but it was good.

How? You handle like you would chick peas in making hummus??

I got some of the Seapoint Farms lightly salted and they're nice and crunchy, and they do taste a bit like pistachios. I also got a bag of the Wasabi flavored, and they have a nice kick to them if you like horseradish. I haven't tried raw or frozen yet, but I'm curious now, I'll have to look for them.

I'm on a Wasabi Pea kick right now 100Cal per 1/2c (only 3grams of Protein tho)...Love these as my chip fix replacement.

OMG! I love this stuff, I get mine from Sam's I buy the big box; individual plastic containers that you put in the microwave for about 3 minutes drain, lightly salt and enjoy. They are still in the pod so you have to take the Beans out.

They are soybeans, with a lot of fiber and protien. Great snack for anyone watching what they are eating. I always keep a supply in my freezer.

My DH doesn't like them so more for me. Is that bad or what?
