Hi guys,

i dont know if I am doing this right or not. I am a bit challenged when it comes to message boards!

I am being banded day after tomorrow Janaury 14th. i would love to have a buddy to share things with! This site is great. Once i figure it out I'll probably never get off the computer (LOL)!

I'm going to try and make me one of those ticker things now.

Can you tell I can't sleep? It's 4am and I am nervous/excited/anxious,etc. :smile:

grateful for a 2nd chance to start living life again!

i was more excited than nervious. i like my doctor and she was very nice. but every thing went good and all the hospital staff were great. i had to spend the night there. it was a requirement of the doctor.if yu want to add the new year's knockouts to your signature just right click on it and go to edit signature. and paste. good luck with your surgery.but it will be fine

Hi Lola,

I'm being banded on 15th. Happy to be a buddy if you are interested. I'm in Australia. I am 32 and have about 40 kilos/88pounds to lose. I'm excited, but getting a little nervous.

Hey Lori,

I too am being banded on Monday the 14th, and I know what you mean by being nervous. Saturday night I woke up at 4:30 and could not go back to sleep. My surgery is at 7am so that is good, I won't have a lot of time to think about it.

getting some last minute things together, i probably won't sleep tonight either. Good luck to those being banded this week, I'll be back on with an update when i can get back to the computer. I can't wait to hear how it goes for all of you as well.

      I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
