At that time in my life I was playing every sport that the school offered.. the girl in the pink is the SKINNIEST BEAN POLE.. (still to this day) and she was MEAN MEAN MEAN.. she told me all time that I was fat.. she even turned the entire 5th grade class against me (seriously.. Janice had to sneak behind the monkey bars to tell me that she was sorry she couldn't be my friend because paige would turn everyone against her. Later I ended up getting into a fist fight with her in the bathroom and she was then forever my best friend (fake best friend)......... so the above pic is a couple years later..... LOL

When my mom saw this pic. she just said. "I remember when you looked like that".............. uhhhhhhhhh mothers....... the between the lines meaning was that she remembered when I was skinny! LOL

I need to rant about a customer. I can't take it anymore, I get anxiety attacks when I see his name on the caller ID.

He is the most unorganized person I've ever talked to in my LIFE. That is an understatement!!!!!!!!!

We have a price book, he HAS the price book. He will NOT look at it. Then he calls me, wanting to calculate him a price out of the price book for like 20 different quantities, 20 different options, 20 different shipping options.. literally takes me hours. We're not suppose to do this, this is why we have.. A PRICE BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I told him, LOOK AT YOUR PRICE BOOK. And he writes me back "Can you just tell me what it is?" then the next day he will ask again. I don't know where he puts his e-mails that he can't pull up an e-mail from the day before. I am going nuts. Then he has a ton of free time to talk, so he keeps calling me & his CSR girl and chit chatting and we don't have time for that. Then he wants us to waive fees, give him discounts, etc. And the answer is NO. He has the best pricing we have, and he doesn't even deserve it (we're changing that on May 1). But since he won't look up his own pricing, I've been adding $1,000 to the job every time, just for the headache. Then he wants to talk to me about it. Ugh. I just ran through this with him, he called and I had to let it go to voicemail "Call me so we can talk about this job, my customers are being a pain in the ass". No kidding? I know what that's like. Argh.

I think you look great then and now. It is funny w/ pix though. Especially w/ the hair styles. I look at some of my early pix and think, "man, how long did it take me to work that 'do?" I had some big hair, and the feathers...man o man. I was sooo stylin' w/ the long blonde hair and the feathers that were feathered all the way through. And I had a denim mini w/ pink stripes in it. And I had a pink sleevless button down shirt that I wore w/ the mini...I was TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL!

Jenn, I'm so proud of you and very happy for you too. Good Job.

Pam, Hubby and I stayed at MGM. We had a regular room and I had called them about a week before we got there to question them about a security problem. This was right after 911. Some guy had told the police that he had someone in his cab and he over heard a conversation that there was a plan to bomb L.V over July 4th weekend. Great, that was when we were going to be there. So I asked them all about it and told them I wasn't sure I wanted to come. They told me that it was a hoax but if we felt like we didn't want to come that would be fine. Anyway we get there and they moved us to a suite. It was huge. To big for us 2 people. They treated us like royalty. Would definatly go back again. We went to see "Carrot Top". Absolutely hysterical. I'm jealous you get to see George. I'm a fan of his. I hope you have a great time.

Hi everyone! I'm here...haven't fallen off the face of the earth, just been REALLY busy! Between pregnant daughters, my house and my job it's been insane! Here's a picture of the house so far....actually this was a few weeks ago. They've already put the windows in and are finished with the roof now. They're getting ready to start the insulation and stucco....I need to update my pics!

pictures021708006pq8.jpg

Here's a picture from my daughter's baby shower this past weekend...notice I'm in between both pregnant daughters with my hand on their bellies LOL! They're both doing wonderful and are both having BOYS!!! Yep, that's right, 2 grandsons this year! Wow am I going to be tired (and broke!)....Their names are Blake Matthew (he's due in 5 weeks) and Dimitri Andrew (not sure that I like the name, but he's due in 17 weeks so they have time to change if I can talk them into it LOL). Notice my t-shirt "Coolest Grandma around"!! hehe :tt1:

babyshower04132008291cl3.jpg

I haven't much to say about the weight loss...still holding steady, but not losing. I just got another fill last week so maybe that will change....I find myself falling into some of my old bad eating habits, but I'm trying to keep that at bay....

All is well, and I'll be back more to post and catch up as soon as I get a breather!!!

Hope everyone is doing well!!! :tt2:

Glad you're alive Denise! Wow the house is coming along and WOW those are 2 really pregnant girls hehehe! I see you do have your hands full! Glad you checked in though, I was getting worried!!!

PAM!! THAT IS SO CUTE!! I won't use them, I like to collect stuff like that, so I'll keep it on my shelf with other fairy things. Thank you so much! You're such a doll!!

Now onto this if you missed it, I am giving away lots of clothes--

For now here they are:

You can click on each pic to see it bigger, and if you want something, either PM me here or leave a comment on the blog (include which item you want.. just describe it... ). Those comments will remain private, so no one else will see them but me.

Make sure you realize...

1. I have cats, dog, and I smoke

2. I do need to be reimbursed for the shipping (It is discounted from work, so it won't be much but I do have to pay them back)

Yay Denise checked in!!! Glad all is well, house is coming along great--BUT so are those babies!!!! Yay! They will always have a cousin around to play with---and how perfect could that be! You will always have appropriate toys for them!!!

I like the name-----believe me, I was not a fan of the name my DD chose for my granddaughter----but now it is her!

I had a totally wierd dream about her being pregnant again.

She is actually facing some scary things, and I would appreciate all prayers for her. Her MRI was loaded with not so good news.

1. the herniation they went looking for they found on L2

2. they found she has some stenosis of the ascending aorta---a hardening of a heart valve---which would have to be replaced if it is serious enough.

3. she has a huge mass on her right ovary. She went today for a CA-125 blood draw---which is a tumor marker----and has an ultrasound of it tomorrow---they are not wasting time.

Please think of her---she is only 26---lots to process for her. I find it hard to believe but her ex husband has been amazing with it-----I mean I know he is trying to court her back, but, just being good to her is all I need right now.

Well Rick is headed up on top of the house to sweep the chimney--I don't want him out there alone, so I will BBL~~

Weird, I just went to a calorie calculator site and according to them it says that to reach my goal weight I need to consume 2350 calories a day. Says I should reach this goal by Nov. 13th. 2009.

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

      2. Doughgurl

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!
