Jan-16th date :)

Recommended Posts

My date for the band is Jan. 16th! I am happy and scared and dang hungry right about now! I know this will be more then worth it. I have "dieted" myself to this weight by losing and regaining and losing etc. we have all been there. I am ready for a change! I was very blessed that insurance is paying for this! :clap2:

Congradulations! I'm getting banded on the 16th as well. Where are you getting banded at? My doctor is Dr Felts and I'm Going to Wise Regional in Decatur Texas. That's in the Dallas area. I'm so excited but having a difficult time with the pre-op diet. I have my Protein Shake in the morning and before lunch I'm shaking and feeling like I'm going to pass out which is what happens to me when I don't eat. I can't figure out why though. I'm hoping after a couple of days it will go away. But it worth it either way. Yeah to us!!!!!!!!

:whoo:

I'm getting banded Jan 16th too, I'm on est in NW NC. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30AM and it's 1 1/2hr away at Frye Medical Center in Hickory.

Odd about doctors, my 10-day pre-op diet doesn't start until tomorrow 1/6/08 but I got stocked up on stuff today. I love Diet V8 Splash berry Blend.

Hang in there. The hunger will pass. I am on day 5 of my liver cleanse. My surgery date is next Wednesday, Jan. 9. I am using ice pops, hard sugar free candy, hot tea, iced tea, sugar free drinks, Water, and chicken broth in combinaton with Carnation Instant Breakfast drink mixed with my Protein. I eat about every two hours and I am feeling great now. The first three days were hard. I had a headache and upset stomach.

The best part is feeling in CONTROL!

I am wishing you a safe and healthy journey into banding.

Hugs,

~~ D ~~

I go in at 5:30 a.m. and my surgery is at 7. I will be going to St. Vincents here in Jacksonville. I am on day 4 of my pre-op diet and things are easier today! Don't get me wrong, I sure wouldn't mind a cheeseburger but all and all things are better today!

I'm glad to hear you are doing so well. I am doing a little better. I always eat when I get bored which is often so I'm fighting through that right now.

It's funny how often we think of food when we are not hungry! I understand 100%. I find I go to bed earlier when not eating

Hiya

I'm on the 16th too. Nice to see others on the same day ! I'm a bit scared, but knowing others will be doing it that day too helps.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
