Oh, I am so jealous!! I did eat some yogurt yesterday, that was nice. Cottage cheese sounds NICE. I think it's another 8 days before I can have that. And chicken? ?? It's a WHILE before that. I'm just excited that it's just a little over a week before I can have cottage cheese and eggs. Yummy happy new year for ME. ;)

banded on the 19th I have had Tomato Soup, Cream of Brocoli Soup hot coco and Protein Shakes. My surgion said he put in the larger band and I should heal faster and progress thru my stages faster but to just take it smarter and to not rush it.

He also said to not worry about the calories just to make sure I drink my Protein. And to enjoy the nice christmas.

I am burping a lot too. I thought it was just me. glad to know it is normal

Banded 12/18/07, on pureed. I've had eggs with gravy, chicken salad (even the veggies cooked), fish, mashed pototoes & gravy, quick oats, yogurt, pudding V8, bananas. I'm also using Isopure. While I'm able to eat a pretty good variety of food, I'm not very hungry so only eating about 1/4 C of food at a time.

I was banded on the 19th also and my left side hurt. Are you having any pain in that area? What are you planning to eat for Christmas?

You guys banded after me (17th) are already eating eggs? OOOOHHHH, I'm so jealous!! I'm on semi-liquid until the 31st, then can progress to pureed. Although I was cleared for semi-liquid the day after surgery I had to go back to clear liquid until Sunday before I could eat anything without nausea. I'm cautiously doing mashed potatoes, creamy chicken Soup, a little yogurt. I tried gravy on the taters today, made me really sick. I'm not hungry yet so I don't mind, but I am getting tired of potatoes. My 3 year old is helping me with them everytime I make them so its kind of fun to eat with her. I am DREAMING of eating actual meat. I've been adding Beneprotein to the soup but the smell of it almost makes me gag. Fortunately I've got a great tasty Protein Drink with 46g of Protein so 2 of those a day and I'm ok with the protein requirement.

Me too Audra!! I am very much looking forward to next Monday, I will have eggs and cottage cheese. :)

What Protein drink do you have that's tasty?

I'm drinking a Curves Protein shake this morning that isn't too bad ... it's the best of what I've tried so far, anyway. It only has 23 g though, for 8 oz. I'm really only shooting for 40 g so it certainly helps.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
