I've got you beat age wise. I'll be 58 in August, lol. The complications have resolved, but I am soooo tired. All I do is sleep. I go back for my 2 week check up the 27th. Hoping I can move onto egg salad and refried Beans. I'm not really hungry, I just feel weak and think I need some food.

Got you all beat 72 on 7/10 😁

Good morning the best thing to do is ask a professional if I hurt I wouldn't wait until it's an emergency, better safe than sorry I lost 13 pounds with in the first 11 days now my body is just like I know I haven't gotten there to be stopping now. I just need to focus on my liquids in which I'm still having a hard time keeping up with before it was no problem getting in 64 ounces daily now it's horrible.

Hi all! I had surgery on 6/13 sleeve to bypass revision. I was struggling with the liquid diet and I had some fish (cod & salmon) in small portions but only 10/11 days post op. I feel an aching pain in my left side all of a sudden but am passing stool so I dont think a blockage. I didnt lose any weight on my 2 week marker, I remained the same. Did I damage something? Also having a hard time knowing when I am full.

Good luck to everyone out there

Hey there. Are you still having pain? It could be as simple as gas, as your body was thinking what have you done to me, lol. If you start having other issues, or the pain gets worse, definitely call your team. As for the weight loss, not everyone loses weight right away due to bloating and such, as it is major surgery. Follow your plan, and don't stress. It WILL happen.

My son said the same thing, he also said I was focusing on the wrong thing as far as the weight loss is concerned

Thank you for your support. So far not getting worse at all but just there and lingering.

@Carla Ogwin I think it was you as well but turns out the gurgling sound only happens when I eat foods that are acidic. I just started Tomato Soup and it was so good but it was making me have those gurgling sounds. Once I stopped eating that I haven’t had the sound again. So because we’re getting use to are new stomach acidic things might bother us in the beginning.

I had my first appointment since the surgery. The scars are doing nicely. I weighed 213 before my surgery and today I weigh 207! yay! had my first pureed meal it was scrambled eggs and ok. I had a meatball for dinner. Not so great. My grocery order with chicken and tuna cams arrive tomorrow I hope to make egg salad and chicken/tuna salad. Mixing in some avocado into the eggs.

is bread ok to have or does that just not sit well after this surgery? I just want buttered toast.

That's good. I realized that I pay more attention to everything now. I'm reading everything I'm talking to my self lol in Walmart telling myself you know you can't have that. Imma wait one more week before I put anything in my body that's more solid because I need to see weight loss before I start adding all that other stuff

Has anyone been getting headaches after they start their Vitamins? I’ve had a bad headache for three days and the only consistency I’ve noticed as it’s been since starting my multi vitamin… I’m not getting in much Protein either which may be it as well?? It’s awful and I had to break open my back up narcotics for the pain to be able to function

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
