Still stuck for a week. I can't express to disappointment.

My doc said to increase my Protein intake. From 60-70g to 100-110g and that kick started my stall. Mine was on 4/28. Started at 350 and down to 295 today

I'm supposed to get up to 120. That's almost impossible getting in my fluids, then trying to eat and drink Protein Shakes. Have any high Protein tips and techniques? I'm struggling.

I like to add Protein2O Water. It counts as Fluid and Protein. They have both 15g and 20g versions. I’m still at the 70-80 goal currently at 7 weeks post op. Fluids are still a chore to get enough in.

How are you doing with the nausea?

Better thanks! It's kind of hit and miss. I'm not nauseous with every meal and did backtrack a bit to soft food phase for a time. Slowly trying new things but playing it safe with the food choices and pretty careful not to try anything different while away from home.

I'm guessing all the nerves that were cut during surgery are growing back and coming alive again. So I'm feeling what I couldn't before. I'm actually glad for that restriction. It's what I signed up for. And I think I've come to accept the nausea when it happens as part of the healing process along with teaching me to slow down, take smaller bites and stop before reaching fullness.

I hope the best for everyone here and if need be, contact your doctor and see if anti-nausea meds can help if unable to keep anything down or blacking out. That's not normal.

I hope your stall was kick started. I had an awful September but the last 2 weeks I got back on track with getting in more Protein and it has worked like a charm. I'm back on the Protein Shakes (once a day) to supplement my diet and get in around 100g of protein. I got off of the shakes for a couple of months because I got sick of them but I found some new flavors.

I'm checked into the hotel near the hospital and just had my last protein shake of the day. My mom has kindly gone down to the restaurant alone so as not to make me die from watching her eat dinner. Checking in at the hospital tomorrow at 10:50am. So ready!

Six months pots-op as of yesterday. I celebrated with a HIIT class where I was challenged to do a wall-assisted handstand. I truly thought there's no way in hell that I can get up there. Well... I proved myself wrong. The instructor said, "Just try getting one foot up there." I tried and it was so easy, that the other foot went up, and the next thing that I knew, I was standing on my hands with my legs up in the air, leaning against the wall.
Last weekend I challenged myself to a 10-mile hike, and I was SURE that my legs would be non-functional that night and the next day. But that didn't happen at all.  But I did learn that I need a new hiking boot or shoe. I've got a goal of walking the Portuguese coastal route of the El Camino later this year, and I good shoes will be essential.
I've hit another weight loss stall, but that's to be expected. I am so close to my goal already that if it does take 6 more months to get that last stone off, that's okay with me. And I am building muscle, so that stone may never move. S'alright friends, s'alright.
