3 days post op & I feel good! Some minor gas pains but WALKING DEF HELPS!! Just saw my Primary & says I can drive as long as Im not taking any narcotics, which I’m happy say I don’t need! I see my surgeon next week.

Hi & Welcome MindyMae71!! Props to you for starting early. The headaches are def a nightmare. It only lasted for first few days for me. Stay hydrated with water and electrolytes (Powerade zero is my fav) and hopefully the headaches will subside. All the Best!

@dskg i’m on my 2 week liquid preop diet and it has been challenging. Days 3-4 were my worst days. The Headaches & the exhaustion was immense. But I pushed through. Days 5-present, surprisingly are much better. The Higher energy levels and the mental clarity on how my body will change, for the better, has been my motivation this week.

Hi Nancy! I’ve been drinking the OWYN brand shakes with 30g protein. Also, Miso broth with silken tofu, 9g of protein. Zero Powerades and watermelon mint tea for some sweet flavors. Bottles waters & my Barimelts 3X aday. I’m currently on day 10 of the preop diet and 15lbs down so far.
