Insurance Approved me in 1 Day

Recommended Posts

Wow! i formally started this process on December 27th, doctor submitted my info and psych eval to insurance on January 4th, and my insurance approved me January 5th. I definitely thought i would have more time to prepare but now my surgery is January 30th and I have a lot to prepare for before then. They wanted to do it on the 16th but that seemed too soon! I did research prior to my appointments but I didn’t expect it to move this quickly!

Wish me luck!

Congratulations! Just remember that the actual surgery is a small event that you will sleep through.

My insurance approved me pretty fast too once they got the information. I took the first surgery date I could get and had the procedure in Nov 2022. For me, the hardest part was the pre op liquid diet those Protein Shakes were just too sweet. After my surgery a friend of mine put together a Protein concoction that i could live with, she put a Protein Shake, fage greek yougurt 0% unflavored, Protein Powder and coconut in the blender. Once i drink all of that in a day i know i got about 87 gm of protein. It is not too sweet and it works much better than the straight protein shakes.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
