I started this morning! YAY!!! I did very well, actually. I was so proud of myself! :rolleyes2: I couldn't believe it. I made up my mind this weekend that I was gonna do it. I was so excited last night about this morning. I can't wait until Thursday to do it again. I can tell I did more than just walk. My knee is a little sore, but nothing major at all.

I am so psyched!!!

Hey welcome back lady!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey..you guys have probably forgotten about me..i bought my running shoes and then that was the end of it.

well... my treadmill is not in a position where i can use it right now, but i have asked dh to get that taken care of this weekend and he is supposed to. i have been sooooooo ill though lately. 2 rounds of antibiotics in the past 30 days. i'm feeling really good today though, so if this caries on until sunday, i'll be running. gotta get going that way i can boost my weight loss, and probably improve my immune system.

just wanted to check in so i feel liable to someone. it's easy to skip out on online guys. i need a buddy who will go with me, or call me and say..hey......or something.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
