Hello
I’m new to this forum definitely glad I found it. Sx date 11/1 got lucky someone cancelled. Had the most pain day 2-5 but now doing a little better. The main incision for me has been itching and a little hard but overall no complaints. I was previously use to just going to the store and picking up anything now I’m
really reading labels . This is a life changing experience and journey and hope and pray that everyone gets through it and start to embracing this new healthy life style

post-op (and even pre-op) diets are all over the place. For example, they had me on purees as soon as I left the hospital (most people do liquids for a couple of weeks before starting purees). Just follow whatever plan your clinic gave you - it could be that they have a specific plan for some particular reason...and if not, then at least you can honestly say that you've been following their plan if/when the topic comes up.

Ah yes good luck! the first few weeks were so hard, I'm a month & a half out & no matter how much I research I feel like I'm learning something new everyday still.

I'm a hardcore label reader & food weigher now, but it's nice to know what I'm putting in my body after so many years of treating my body like cr@p. It's a good experience so far

    • Hesitant but hopeful

      Hey October Surgery friends...how are you doing? I've lost 15 lbs since surgery on 18th.42 lbs overall. Wearing clothes that feel great. Had a bout of cold and stomach flu and still having some nausea off and on after that but getting better, I think. 
      Seems like I fill up and have minor pain quicker when I eat hot foods rather than cold. Anyone else notice this?
