Its been over a year since my surgery. The past few months I've been experiencing constant pain on my right side, lower back, neck, nauseous after eating, some Constipation, bloating. More recently, headaches and not sleeping well. Over past few weeks pain has increase particularly at night. My primary doctor has ruled out problems with pacreus, liver.

I'm doing my own research to cover all basis. After a brief discussion with my gastric surgent he didn't think I had a leak, reason being that its not very common so far after surgery. I have experience a number of things with my health that was not very common and it took doctors a very hard time to diagnose. No one has said that after a years time a gastric sleeve leak can't happen, It was said, it was not common. So I continue to search for answers.

Do you still have your gallbladder? I know that the GB can be an issue for a lot of people after bariatric surgery.

No I don't have my gallbladder removed years ago. That is one of the first things the doctors ruled out,

Get yourself an Endoscopy done. will easily rule it out and see any issues from the inside

I'm sure bloodwork was done? No increased white blood cell count?

I hope your surgeon gave you an upper GI and endoscopy to see if your sleeve has issues.

When I first got my sleeve, I would have a yearly upper GI to check that is hasn't stretched (or leaking). Someone close to me cheated on her soft food post-op diet early on, and it ruptured her sleeve and caused leaking and sepsis so I was always paranoid in the beginning.

Had endoscopy before my symptoms got worst. I don't have infection, no fever, last blood work a month ago white blood cells not elevated.

Saw bariatric surgent recommended scan of stomach & chest. That is where I'm at now. I appreciate the feedback. When you are experiencing serious chronic pain suddenly, I want to get to root of the problem and not mask it with PT, or pain meds. So I'm doing all I can think of on my part to find out what is going on.

So, again thank you for your feedback its very much appreciated.

Not a doctor, this swallow study could find it. Try tracking the pain. I had/hernias and endometriosis so the come and go is endometriosis or lady issues. A constant pain can be more hernia like. Pain in the large bowel can feel very specific to to one side or the transverse, a colonoscopy could sort that out. Keep asking questions and don’t wait, my dad died of colon cancer (glad your white blood cell sounds ok), maybe it’s diverticulitis?

I don't know when I reached Onederland but just weighed myself @198. 😁

Constantly amazing myself. This is probably a normal experience for all of us on a WL journey.
This morning I was at 174 pounds (78.9 kilos). I can perceive that my brain hasn't really caught up to this yet, as I still feel obese, even though I am close to being considered a normal weight, not even overweight. The smaller clothes, the higher fitness level, the great blood work results, the energy- these all tell me a totally different story!
I have NEVER EVER been, never, not once in my life, nada, zip, zilch, zero times, been "thin." I think this explains some of the disconnect between the reality of my body and the stuckness of my brain. I do have confidence that my mind will catch up soon ❤️
Not really having the experience of true hunger yet, but I can perceive the peristalsis of my digestive tract. And I am getting very good at spotting head hunger, and simply noticing it, like a Buddhist.

I ordered the Barbecue Protein Crisps here from BariatricPal, and find them quite tasty. The Ranch flavour, not so much. They are very filing and have a satisfying crunch.
I continue to shrink, and am amazed at the changes all over my body. Visually, it is striking to me. In the mirror, I look thin to my eyes, but I don't feel thin, although I can see more bones and veins and tendons and floppy skin. Cardio-wise, It takes a lot more effort to get my heart rate up and I'm now monitoring which heart zone I can get into and for how long. My resting heart rate is the lowest it's ever been.
If I think about it, and I left myself feel it for a time, I weep (like, boohoo cry) with joy. I am so grateful to myself, and proud of myself for having the courage to have taken the leap to better health.
