How did you reward yourself for losing weight?

Recommended Posts

My birthday is next month and coincides with my projected second week of pureed, as a reward for staying on plan I'm gonna buy a new phone lmao.

A local tandem skydiving place had a 160lb weight limit for my height, so naturally I decided when I hit that, I'm jumping out a plane.

That is wonderful! I donated my old clothes to a local charity here and bought myself loads of new stuff (some of which needs to be donated again since I'm much smaller now). Your nurse is right. You will fly through sizes (which is awesome).

The best you can do I guess! Hopefully I won't be needing a Tummy Tuck but I'll go for it if needed.

I got a tattoo when I reached 99 kg and was also supposed to go to Disneyland to Celebrate, but we just bought a house so we’re going to be shelving that idea for the moment 🤣🤣

That’s my plan, too!! Can’t wait to hit my 100 pound weight loss. Twenty pounds to go! Once I get there I’m calling a plastic surgeon for a consult. 😁👍🏻

When I get to 250 I am getting my nose repierced. My original piercing fell out while I was on a cruise and it closed up by the time I got home. Once I get under 200, my reward is a new tattoo. And the new clothes along the way don't hurt either ;)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
