Same! Had my surgery on the 17th as well. Lost 10 then started my period the next week and now I'm stalled but it seems common. I've been told repeatedly (even by my dr) not to get to wrapped up about them.

My Doctor said to increase calories a bit and it would end, I did that, and lost 3 lbs in 2 days.

I hit a stall at 2 weeks and five days, and I'm at four weeks now and still at a standstill. So I've been in a stall for a week and two days.

To be honest, I'm afraid that this is it. That I will have gone through painful and expensive surgery, only to lose a little over 20 pounds and nothing more.

I'm eating 4-600 calories most days. The highest I've gone is 900 calories (included fruit juice) and the lowest was under 200 calories when I was feeling really bad and couldn't get anything down. The day after I ate 900 calories I gained 700 grams, so I don't think upping the calories is the answer.

Eat the amount of calories your team advises you to eat. I thought the same as you did in the beginning the stall will pass, it sucks right now cause you are in the middle of it but it will pass. I have been through four stalls since my surgery and I still lost weight maybe I will hit another and maybe not but I'm not too worried about it right now. Stay strong.

They haven't really advised me about calorie amounts, and I have my first post surgery appointment in two weeks.

I gained weight today, after 680 calories yesterday. Now my stall has lasted for ten days. How long was your longest stall?

The first one was 2 1/2 weeks and the last three lasted about a week.

Give it time … your fear is validated but what you’re going through is very common. I’m also experiencing a stall plus my period skipped town a week after my surgery lol not complaining. You will thrive I know it! The hard part is over.

Wow, two and a half weeks! That must have been so stressful. I'm on day 12 of my stall, so it's almost two weeks and it's just so incredibly demoralising.

Actually it was closer to 3 weeks like day 19 or 20 but it did break and yours will too.

God, I hope so.

I have actually googled: "Is it possible to lose only 20 pounds total after gastric sleeve", and I've read some of the stories from people with gastric sleeve "fails", but they're still mostly people who in the end regained what they lost.

From what I've read, I do know that this stall has to do with Water balance in the body, but it's still hard not to feel like a failure.

People are starting to notice that I'm thinner - my cleaning lady came in the other day after more than a month, and the first thing she said when she came in the door was: "You are slim!". My stomach is a lot smaller and I see a difference in my face and neck.

But it's still very frustrating to see a same or similar number on the scale every day. Especially since I'm hovering just over the 100 kilo mark and never dipping under it. I haven't been under 100 kilos in more than a decade, and I would so very much want to be.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
