Surgery tomorrow but I feel alittle sick.

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone. I'm new here and so excited to be here. My surgery is tomorrow March 14th, we are leaving to stay the night in town at a hotel tonight. I've been super nervous and all those last minute jitters. My main question is I woke up today alittle chest congested, they say don't come if your sick. I've been waiting sooooo long for this, so do I go and let the dr decide? or do I call and ask if I should reschedule in the morning? Which I DONT WANT TO DO. Please I need advice.

Hummmmm. I think I would want the doctor to decide but I wonder if you will get that far. If I remember correctly they asked at the checking desk if I had any of the COVID symptoms (they listed them all out). Hopefully it’s nothing and you still get to go through with it but better safe than sorry so definitely tell The doctor.

Are you feeling any better with your congestion? I don’t have an answer, but I would probably not cancel unless you get worse. They can always listen to your chest if necessary.

That's what I thought too. Weather has been finicky here in north Dakota and warmer today so I wonder if that did it. I do feel slightly better. Thank you for your imput.

Thank you. They didn't cancel. Anesthesia listened to my lungs and I'm on the other side of surgery about 10hrs out in recovery.

Yay. I was thinking about you today. So glad they didn’t make you cancel.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
