It would depend on your stage and your clinic. If you are on regular food it is not the best choice but my team does not have any food that is forbidden so yes I have had Pasta. There is basically no nutrition in it though and it’s higher calories so it should not be a routine thing. Also, some people do not tolerate it well. It expands and sits heavy so make sure you try very small amounts at first and wait to see how your body reacts to it. For pasta cravings, I found a cauliflower pasta at Walmart in the frozen section that tastes almost like the real thing. Consider trying that instead.

as I recall, Lisa, you are several years out. So there shouldn't be any restrictions at this point - just whatever you yourself are able to tolerate. Some people, even years out, can't tolerate certain foods. I can't eat much Pasta - it sits like a brick in my stomach. But I can handle a half cup or so. I don't eat it very often, though, as it doesn't have much nutritional value.

😫 Hi, I’m new to bariatricpal! I am 8 days post op VSG. I am struggling very badly. I’ve been so emotional because I feel like I’m doing wrong. I’m afraid I’ll eat or drink to fast or eat the wrong thing. I’ve been on Pinterest and YouTube constantly for help. I have followed all of my surgeons and dieticians instructions. I just don’t know if my body is getting enough. Today, I am weak, sore, and just exhausted.

It passes!! Everyone goes though it! It is a short term emotion! I'm almost five years post op! You made the right decision! Don't focus on the change right now. Try to entertain your mind. What your feeling only last about a week. It's related to your body adjusting and you mind adjusting. You got this!!

I agree with Tara it's hard right now but it gets better do t forget your hormones will be all over the place you may even feel depressed. Be kind to yourself reach out and talk to people how you are feeling .
