Has anyone tried the Tonal system for workouts at home? My husband wants to get one that both of us can use, to build more fat-burning muscle. Any feedback? TIA!

No experience, as I opted not to get one after a good bit of research. Reviews are a little hit or miss, seems like the new technology might not yet have all the bugs worked out (also, what do they DO with all that data?!), shipping is taking several months, customer service isn't great, requires some heavy duty installation work (must be multi anchored to studs, limits placement) and the price point is pretty aggressive. We decided to go with a Bowflex and have been VERY happy with it. Found it used on FB marketplace, paid $400 for a nearly brand new roughly $2000 model that our whole family can use. I also have a treadmill and under desk elliptical for cardio. I love the concept, but decided it wasn't the biggest bang for the buck for our needs.

I use hand weights and Velcro leg cuffs. I also have a weighted vest hoola hoop and I use a yoga bolster to get full range of motion. I also have a couple of large stretch bands to work inner muscles, and indoor bike. The bike was the big investment but worth every penny of stress release it provides! I go to an in person yoga class that helps with core/balance and it costs more than going to the gym. I think you will get value in whatever you choose as long as you use it. You are worth it.

I just had a teaspoon of hummus with a teaspoon of avocado topped with a teaspoon of greek yogurt and it. was. GLORIOUS. I'm four days out and my surgeon gave me the greenlight to work in small amounts of pureed food.

😫 Hi, I’m new to bariatricpal! I am 8 days post op VSG. I am struggling very badly. I’ve been so emotional because I feel like I’m doing wrong. I’m afraid I’ll eat or drink to fast or eat the wrong thing. I’ve been on Pinterest and YouTube constantly for help. I have followed all of my surgeons and dieticians instructions. I just don’t know if my body is getting enough. Today, I am weak, sore, and just exhausted.

It passes!! Everyone goes though it! It is a short term emotion! I'm almost five years post op! You made the right decision! Don't focus on the change right now. Try to entertain your mind. What your feeling only last about a week. It's related to your body adjusting and you mind adjusting. You got this!!

I agree with Tara it's hard right now but it gets better do t forget your hormones will be all over the place you may even feel depressed. Be kind to yourself reach out and talk to people how you are feeling .
