Has anyone experienced any stomach contractions/spasms after their surgery? I’m 3 weeks post op DS and experiencing some spasms.

I’m less than a week from my SADI and I get stomach spasms when I have certain things. Water and broth is fine, liquid Tylenol and Jello though both trigger it. It only lasts maybe 5-10 seconds then subsides.

I just assumed that I’m still healing and that it will go away.

Mine actually last for hours through out the night, Not sure what triggers it though because I’ve eaten and drank the same stuff and on some days it won’t happen. I appreciate your reply!

Hours! Oh goodness I’m sorry to hear that. Did your surgeon have anything to say about it?

I’m actually in the ER right now because my eyes have turned yellow and my skin.

Having just recently landed back in the ER, I know just how scary and miserable that can be. I hope they figure it out quick so that you can few better. ❤️

Hope everything is okay! The yellowing sounds like your liver. Prayers and healing thoughts sent your way!

Thank you so much! I’m feeling much better now. My doctor said the yellowing of the eyes is due to some trauma to my liver from the surgery and it’ll go away eventually. I was pretty dehydrated as well so they gave me some potassium and fluids through an IV.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
