Good, cheap blender

Recommended Posts

Hi, I started the purée stage the day before last. Today I tried to blend chicken and mayo in the blender I got. It didn’t do the job, even a little bit.
What good, cheap blenders could I get for delivery? I just had surgery Wednesday and I really don’t feel like walking all of Walmart just yet.

Did you add any liquid? The mayo is probably to thick to make a purée with chicken.

I have had to purée meat before when taking care of someone with eating issues, and the Magic Bullet (which sounds like something very different but really is a blender) is top notch.

I just got a mini food chopper, it got a tonne of use during puree stage. (Still use today for tuna salad and such)

Like this, it was cheap. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainstays-1-5-Cup-One-Touch-Pulse-Stainless-Steel-Blade-Mini-Food-Chopper/565452233

I plan to use my Magic Bullet. It works great and doesn’t take up much space.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
