Pre-Op Dec 11th - Procedure Dec 12th

Recommended Posts

Well, after about 3 months of this and that I have my pre-op tomorrow and lapband gets "installed" on the 12th.

I’m pretty stoked to finally have everything lined up and ready to go. My first goal weight is 210 by March 19th 2008. That’s about 13 weeks from today give or take. That’s about 4 pounds a week so it’s very achievable.

Anyway, I just figured I’d post the Dec. band-ster’s since on Dec 12th I will officially one.

Good to hear you're feeling okay KingJes. The throat thing was tough. Warm tea helped me, but only after dr. okayed it.

Keep moving every half hour or so and that should help the gas.

Welcome to the band.

Been about 9 hours since the procedure. Still out of it from the drungs but all is good.

Still no gas pain that I can tell. Wondering if it just takes a while to kick in or what?

Going to go for a fast lap around the house and then back to sleep. Sooo sleeeeeepppppy!

Thanks all

I bet! The price of those things astounds me! I am a tat virgin but I plan to get my first one when I hit my weight goal :-)

My daughter is counting the days until her 18th birthday because I told her I'd take her for her first as soon as the big day arrived.

BTW... she liked your sleeves also :-)

Thats cool. I just started my chest and have about 9 hours into it so far. Thats 3 - 3 hours sessions. I have about 70 hours on my sleeves. You can see more photos of the progress and close ups on my myspace page if you wanna.

Make sure you research the artist you pick for that tattoo. I dont know what state you live in but if your in CA or WA I would use Jason O. Let me know if you want his info and I can shoot it over!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
