I love going to craft shows and I love to buy rings but they never fit me and they'd always have to be sized for me or made specially. I was about a size 9-10. Yesterday I went to a craft show and most of the rings either fit or were on the big side! The ones that fit were about a size 7! The down side of this is now I have to have all of my old rings sized down, but I'm waiting until my weight is stable.
Same! Rings are my favorite jewelry and I have a ton, but they're all size 10. I wear a 7 but now but almost a 6. I sure miss my wedding rings but I'm wearing a temporary one for now until I get them resized.
It's so good to have smaller fingers!
Great NSV for you!

I do not know if it counts. I am used to take my blood pressure every morning after taking my pills.< br> I normally just slide my arm in the sleeve of my monitor without adjusting the Velcro.
Well, yesterday I had to re adjust the sleeve because it was too loose in my arm [emoji3]
Absolutely counts! That's awesome! Congratulations!

Anybody here had knee pain that got better after surgery? When that happens for me, it'll be a HUGE nsv. It's gotten a lot better 57 lbs later but still have pain when going up the stairs.

Yes! I tore my meniscus years ago and had horrible knee pain. Tuesday will be one year since my weight loss surgery. I’m down to my goal weight and NO knee pain. It’s amazing! Now I love to walk again. It’s helpful not having an extra 100 pounds weighing me down.

For months I wore a cheap rubber thingy (I bought on Amazon) around my wedding rings to keep them from falling off. I finally got them resized after being at my goal weight.

Weight loss surgery was one of my best decisions. Can’t wait to hear all about your successes too!

I bought the spiral ring size adjusters from Amazon. Loop around band until the ring fits & snip off the extra. The spirals come in different widths to fit around narrow or wider bands. I have a couple of antique rings that can’t be resized down enough to fit my fingers because of the shank & design of the settings so the size adjusters have been a lifesaver.

Sat down in the laundromat chair today for the first time in ages (Covid meant not loitering inside) and experienced not standing up with the chair stuck to my arse. In fact there was a good five inch space of extra room for... something five inches to sit beside me.

Which means all white plastic chairs are no longer my nemesis. I'm cool with them now. We hang out.

An oldy, but a goody: Mr. (effortlessly) carried me up stairs last night cuz i was being sucky about stubbing my toe 😂.

When he first did this a couple years ago during weight loss phase, I felt self-conscious and uncomfortable. Nowadays (3+ years out) im like: “Carry Me!” any chance i get 😇

I have those!

Been using them on my wedding and engagement rings for a while now and they perform their function well. I may just bite the bullet and get the rings resized proper? I wanted to get them re-set in a new style but Mr. seemed against it (i guess he prefers me to keep them in their original style that he oicked out 🙄)

It's not my weirdest non-scale victory, but it might be my proudest.

I took two flights and did not need a seat belt extender. I was also able to use/fit into the airplane lavatory during the flight. It's been 20+ years since I could claim either of these.

This is odd because I feel like a lot of people prefer more showy clothes after losing weight but my weird NSV is that I can actually do the baggy look now and not look like it was my only option or I'm a big ball hahaha. I love the Korean Hanbok clothing style (google it) and am so excited to be down more lbs to REALLY rock it! Here's my first Hanbok inspired outfit. 20220321_113452.jpg

Woops I looked up the wrong term. Hanbok is traditional Korean dress. I am thinking the modernized version mixed with street style. Korean fashion tends to be baggier/oversized look **** hope to rock it completely one day!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
