Hi Y'all, I had sleeve surgery 7 months ago on the 17th. I've been stuck for about 2 months now at 226lbs from 318lbs. I can't seem to find where I should be macro wise to get me out of this stall. Its been very emotionally draining as I have no restrictions in regards to what I can eat just portion and well I'm an emotional eater. I'm truly just at a loss and I'm dying to get to wonderland. I do an hour of CrossFit 3 times a week and my CrossFit trainer keeps telling me I'm not eating enough. I don't think she fully understands and I'm not getting much from my doctor. I get anywhere from 1,000-1,300 on non gym days and 1,300-1,500 calories on gym days, 30-90 carbs and 70 -130 in Protein. The only thing as of lately I've noticed is I'm very hungry so I eat about every hour or so and getting Water in has been hard but I try to hit 70 oz. at min. I've done measures and even that has only been a small difference. Thanks for any help! :)

Hey! I know you posted this a while ago, but maybe don’t do crossfit 3x a week. Is it all HIIT?? Or do you do a mix of strength training/LISS/HIIT? Because that can make a difference. We cannot consume enough calories to do high intensity often. I do maybe 2 workouts a week that are more heavy handed and i don’t allow myself to burn more than 350 calories. At this rate, you know that building muscle burns quite a bit of calories resting. That’s why it’s more important to build muscle than to really sweat it out all the time. I’ve been a slow and steady loser since I’ve incorporated a mixture of crossfit and strength training. My sister kicked my ass the last two workouts I’ve had with her at her gym and it takes me literally all week to recover. Probably because i don’t get in enough Protein or Water. It sucks lol.

maybe switch up what your exercise routine is. I don’t think your diet is the problem here. Not really. And get you a trainer who better understands your nutritional needs. My sister plans special workouts just for me because she knows i cannot burn as many calories as a person who attends their gym. Just keep at it. You will get there eventually. I’m 235 and I’m so ready to see onderland too.

Since it’s been like 2.5-3 weeks since you posted, what have you been doing? Have you found a solution? Lost any weight?

How tall are you?, or what is your BMI? If your BMI is low-ish, your cals may be at maintenance level for you....?

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
