SIPS /SADI-, can anyone tell me about your experience.

Recommended Posts

Hello, I'm getting the SIPS procedure as a revision from my gastric sleeve. It’s a fairly new procedure compared to other weight loss surgeries. Has anyone gotten this procedure, if so, Pls share your progress and experience 😊

Hi! I had my SIPS surgery about 2 and a half weeks ago at Blossom Bariatrics in Las Vegas. They specialize in helping out of state patients and the whole thing from consultation, meeting with the dietician, EGD, pre-op/post op checks are included in 5 days and you get to go home. The only thing not included was the care companion which I had to pay additional for to help me after my surgery. The care companion is optional and if you have someone who can go with you and take care of you after surgery then you don’t need that. I went alone and everything was included in the price quote plus hotel, transportation, surgery etc.

hope this helps. If you have more questions just let me know

I had my SADI—S 6 months ago. I started out at 393 pounds. I was 368 on surgery day, and as of today I am 269. My surgery went great but I did experience nausea and some vomiting the first few days and had to stay in the hospital 3 nights. After that, recovery was a breeze and I barely had any pain. My scars are pretty small and have already faded a lot.
Most importantly, I feel amazing. I am hoping to get under 200 pounds.
I love the restriction from the sleeve part of my stomach. My biggest problem was always Portion Control and it's wonderful to feel satisfied with such a small amount of food. I am so happy I chose this surgery. I would do again without question!
I'll be glad to answer any questions you have!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
