Calories Week 6, 7, etc.

Recommended Posts

I've been told to stay between 3-600 calories the first 3 months. I would imagine no more than 700-1000 after that. I'm around 5-700 a day, depending on my activity level. The days i go and weightlift, I allow myself a bit more calories to fuel my workouts after work. Idk how to do lower than that and make my Protein goals. I try to make the protein goals and worry less about calories (within reason.. ive never gone about 700) but i do track by how much the food weighs.

My nut said 800-1000 for months 3-6 to lessen risk of Hair loss, mal nutrition and metabolism distress. That seemed like a lot for a couple weeks. Now I get it no problem. When I hear those lower numbers I wonder if I should be eating less as my WL is slow (about 1.5 pounds a week) but my hunger is increasing since I started walking 4-5 miles a day so I worry I wouldn't be able to feel ok on 400-600. I suppose I'll continue to follow my nut's advise. Something I'm looking forward to is at 6 months my carb number can match my Protein number. I really crave pretzels, fruit and rice so that will be nice.

Hi MaybeMeow😀! Glad to see you’re doing so well! My Nut as well as PA both echoed the 800-1,000 cal. during months 3-6 for energy, metabolism, etc. That’s pretty well where I’ve stayed. Though the loss seems slow, it’s steady and does start adding up.

BUT, I must say, it has not helped with the hair loss😩. I thought I was finished shedding but just now in the shower??? Aye Carrumba!! Hopefully it will slow sooooon and hope you have a better experience! But hey, still worth it by a long shot! Keep up the great work!💖

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
