Anyone for October 2020?

Recommended Posts

Just had my surgery October 6th. Stayed overnight, home late afternoon on the 7th. Doing the Stage 2 liquid diet. I was offline for a bit and updating my info here now. Good thoughts sent out to all October 2020 surgery folks!

I had a lap band that had to be removed now I am getting a sleeve so I feel you! I think everyone goes thru the anxiety cause this is it your life is gonna change but it is gonna change for the good! don't dwell on thoughts of food.and what you are gonna eat after surgery. You can eat whatever you want and don't forget you aren't gonna think about food because you are hardly ever gonna feel hungry. If we don't get some anxiety, we wouldn't be normal. As soon as you get to that hospital tell a nurse if you are really jumpy and they give you a tranquilizer.Lay down now close your eyes and think of how great its gonna be when you hit your goal weight and don't forget how quickly that will happen.If you're a believer Pray. Anyway you're about to do the best thing you have ever done for yourself so dont rethink it I wish you all the best!!!

Had my surgery October 7th converted to bypass and hiatal hernia repair. Had someStill feeling pain and had some really rough nights. Last night was first night I slept through without any incidents. Turns out nurse in hospital told me wrong pills to crush and once I figured that out it made a huge difference. Loss of energy , sleeping a lot , walking a lot to move gas . Things are improving day by day. No issues with drinking Water or Protein Shakes.

        Hello Joset, why haven't you been given a diet plan? Did you have your surgery in the UK? Every surgeon has a different diet, and no two people are on the same one. Weird I know. Contact your team if you can

        Mine was two weeks clear liquids

        Two weeks on soups, milk shakes and broths all with out lumps

        two weeks on pureed foods { I couldn't stomach this step }

        two weeks on soft foods like Protein yogurt, stewed mince and veg, soft scrambled eggs. Pate on hard crackers

        Then onto any food I fancied. If you struggle on any step or with any foods go back a step for a few days. Eggs, salmon and chicken are hard for beginners.

        Sorry I missed your original post, hope you are still on here.
