New week! What are you thankful for? - 9/7/20 to 9/13/20

Recommended Posts

It's a new week! How are you doing and what are you thankful for/glad about this week?

I'm thankful I had the chance to sleep in yesterday due to the Labor Day holiday, even if my body woke me up earlier than I'd have liked.

I'm thankful that my taste buds have changed in ways to help me avoid some foods, as my boyfriend made some chicken nuggets last night and I took a small bite of one just to indulge and ended up spitting it out because it just didn't taste good.

I'm glad that gochujang exists as it has amped up my pureed chicken salad in a very delicious way and gives me just a little spice.'

I'm glad that I've reached my first weight loss goal and am not working on the next one. At my current trend, I should hit it in 10-12 weeks, though I'm not going to get upset if it take a little longer.

I'm glad that I am taking a short 3-4 day vacation next month to one of my favorite places now that the summer crowds will be clearing out. I'm a little scared since I will have less control over my food and there will be some dining out, but I'm using the next month to prep and find options that will work best for me.

I am thankful I still lost weight on my mini vacation. I did eat more than I have been and exercised less due to tweaking my back last week.

I am thankful my back is feeling better so I may be able to exercise this week.

I am thankful for my dogs. They were so much fun to watch play on the Oregon beaches last week.

I'm grateful that my snoring has subsided so much that my fiance and I can sleep comfortably in the same bed again. And I'm sure he's grateful too!

I’m thankful for a job that I actually love and coworkers that I tolerate! (I’m kidding, I genuinely adore my coworkers) 😊

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
