Hey guys! :)

how long did it take from your 1st appointment to scheduling surgery?

Wishing you all every success in your surgery

I had my consultation On July 29th and got my approval on 8/20. My original surgery date was on 9/8 but I changed it to 9/14. Good Luck

Man my Gastric Bypass liquid diet (2 days in!) has so far been a BEAST of a mental and hunger battle. But I know it must be done to avoid being opened up and sewn back up and had no surgery. I had 120 oz of Water today, 800 calories, and 100 grams of Protein. I heard the first 3 days are the toughest and then it gets easier!

Hello my name is Tara and I’m from Kentucky. I’m having the sleeve done next month. I’m hoping it’s between Sept. 7 and the 14th.

Hey Tara, I'm kerry. Best of luck to you! I'm in Pennsylvania just started the process so I see the weight management next month then they transfer me to a surgeon so im not really familiar with how it all works! But you guys have been great. Good luck with your surgery

If it hadn't been for the lockdown, it would have taken about 3 months. Now I am scheduled for Sept. 2, so 6 months in all. A tip: Try to schedule as many of the tests as you can into as few days as possible. It was a real pain in my butt to go back and forth for the various appointments and tests!

Hey thank you so much for your for the tip!

I have my weight management appointment in sept then they refer me to the surgeon so im not really sure what to expect at any of the appointments!

Wishing you the very best not long now for you

Isn't it just AWFUL?! I am half way through. I think most people are fine after day three, unfortunately, I am still hungry😢 and I have had a constant headache from caffeine withdrawal. I keep thinking about hard boiled eggs and plums. I don't even LIKE eggs! Six more days to go...we can do this!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
